" .....................  Go Short or Stay Out......................"

Short without risk?

alexchia01      ( Date: 07-Jun-2011 09:46) Posted:

STI hovering between 3100 and 3200 is due to uncertainty over where the economy is heading.

Now that the US Poor result is out, Europe Food Crisis starting, Greek Debt Problem still ongoing and Japan Economy Problems Coming, the direction is very clear. STI is sure to Go Down.

Yesterdays, Fall is already the confirmation. If you wait until the DOW major turn to hit, you are already too late.

Why do you need to get burned before believing the fire is here? By the time you get Burned, it's already too late.

Take your Profit, Cut your losses, Go Short or Stay Out of the Market.

the STI is ranging between 3100 - 3200 for some time already... would hover around this range unless the DOW takes a major turn...

LOL!!    Got company, but no goods..............

Is this the S-chips company is  capable of ??      hahaha!

As you have said.......S-chip........how to invest ?  There are many good ones perhaps.....but their commitment to stakeholders remain unclear......SGX has lost control on these companies.

Penny play is more risky now giving the high inflation environment.......

The Japan event also screwed electronics big time, according to report, they are the number 1 or 2 exporter for raw chemical material use to manufacture IC chips or something like that.  Even PRC and Taiwan or even the Korean, have not figure out how to make these high tech never heard before chemical names.  Got order but no goods.......

China will rebound and the focus is still Asean especially china and india.  (as reported in bloomberg).

Shocking news  :

Overheard that a friend's friend is now working in States, and was told that, employees were / are asked to take leave from work, if not, work only 2 or 3 days in a week com to save cost.!

Chinese stock scams are the latest U.S. import

http://sg.finance.yahoo.com/news/Chinese-stock-scams-latest-U-rsg-3640837820.html?x=0

Pump and dump scheme. Finance chief resigned. A member firm of the " Big Four" accounting company's global network, severed ties to the company. Investors chase the next hot Chinese stock -- only to find themselves victims of scams. Many of the questionable Chinese companies gain access to U.S. capital markets through a back door. Of the more than 600 companies that obtained entry to U.S. exchanges this way between January 2007 and March 2010, a total of 159 were from the China region, according to the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). While many are legitimate, some turn out to be outright pump-and-dump schemes and other scams. This has taken U.S. exchanges by surprise. NYSE and Nasdaq have delisted several companies and have a veritable " skid row" of more than a dozen firms that have been halted for weeks or months pending requests for information about accounting problems and late regulatory filings. " You see these Chinese companies that have these great numbers, they never miss a quarter of earnings. They are always right on. Their expenses are low. Their growth is tremendous, regardless of the economy. So you go, 'Hmm, this doesn't make sense'," said Left. Efforts to inspect Chinese auditing firms have met resistance from Chinese authorities, but Doty told Reuters this week he expected progress this year, in part because the various problems with Chinese firms had shown authorities in Beijing the importance of credible auditing. " I'm afraid for my personal safety in some areas of China," Qin said. He told Reuters that some companies colluded with employees at major Chinese state-owned multinational banks to provide false bank statements, though he would not specify which ones. " Just because it is China doesn't mean it is a path to riches," Left said.

Capitaland buys china firm for S$72 million

CapitaLand Ltd, Southeast Asia’s largest property developer, has acquired a 100 percent stake in Wuhan Kaihui Real Estate Co. for approximately RMB361 million (S$72 million).

The Chinese company owns a 124,737 sq m land plot in the Caidian District in Wuhan and plans to develop the land into 2,000 value homes, which will be led by CapitaLand's subsidiary, CapitaValue Homes.

CapitaLand said the stake will be held by the company through its wholly-owned unit, Bellevale Ltd, and added that the acquisition is not expected to have material impact on the company’s net tangible assets in the financial year.

In addition, CapitaValue Homes recently purchased a 65 percent stake in Quoc Cuong Sai Gon in Vietnam to lead the development of around 800 homes in Ho Chi Minh City.

Are singaporeans the " fool" that occupying (renting)    those  units that are purchased by  " foreigners"     ????

The government cooling measure has " Stopped out" HDB upgraders to buy into buying Mass market condos.

The genuine buying group is still " Foreigners" becos they are free from  'Restrictions' if they dont own HDB flats and of course, those  who are cash rich.

What " if" , the foreigners  Own more than 50% or 80% of the private condos?

propertyinvestor      ( Date: 25-Mar-2011 11:34) Posted:

Its unlikely for any price drops to happen simply because there is pent up genuine demand for property! On top of that, construction cost is rising steadily which ensure thats new launches will always have to be higher. All these translate into good news for the developers. Especially those with good land bank acquired cheaply in the past and have already locked in good sales revenue from their current launches.

Look at Heeton's prime landbank :

Can give me a peice of advice.

Isn't there expected to be an oversupply of housing in 2011,2012 and 2013? With current anti speculative measures and oversupply of housing, isn't housing prices expected to drop?

Public comments have been TOO  overwhelming after the Oppositions' security GIC.    Will oppositions endorse those comments?  or, is it approriate they make a public stand or statement relating to those comments?
