Sifu.  I don't play Singapore stocks much.  Just watch only.  They are too cheap for me, yet they could cost me a bomb.    Sure, if I hear anything, definitely will pm  you. Cheers.

Ying Yang pulling forces. DOW 8000 a possibility and DOW 15000 might come to pass!  Only heard of Prophets of Doom but never heard of Prophets of Blessedness? (Prophets of Bliss?).  I wd love the Yang-force Prophets begin to say good things this year and make it a reality for longists. Shortists can continue to short as the market rises, and wait for the 8000 to buy back. LOL. |

Actually to be clean is better than to be dirty although to be dirty makes you some money for you.  Culmulative effect is bad, though.  The Japanese has a good name and are honoured for this although their past  war-generation were a bit ruthless as told by our historians. Since correction after the war, they are a respected lots.

Total no. of companies lost to takeover and privatized works to out to 5 for me already.  All of them slightly below my average buy prices, not counting interests lost on holding on for some time.  That is why I see Sg market as a dirty market.  Be careful, players/investors!  Don't keep too long if there is a chance to sell for profit and stay away after selling. |

Most traders look at charts for all kinds of happenings, eg. health, finance, futures, wealth, climate, weather and what have you.  By all indications, from charts, I do believe that Dec 21, 2012 is no laughing matter.  Look at the disasters happening everywhere with increasing tandem. Velocity, and momentum are really some indicators to look at like the stock market.  Hahaha. The end is nigh and could be early 2013.

Singaporean shareholders (public investors - uncles, aunties and some traders) could not be bothered even if they were actually shortchanged or scammed by takeovers arrangements. (Not this case specifically.) This is because individually no one dared to be a hero to lead a vote to reject any offer.  From our stock market history, probably one or two big timers affected had thrown in a " NO" vote, but in most known cases, there had always been smooth sailing for takeovers of a public listed company.  People always thought that share voting is like GE (General elections) voting, you cannot alter any determined course what, why waste your energy, sort of thinking. Actually this is a sad thing for our stock investors.  We have no organization to protect us, and no certain authorities covering the jurisdiction of corporate takeovers, even if " robbing" is involved and what we can do or cannot do is LL and see things happening.  Unlike USA investors, they are protected in many areas of frauds, bankruptcy of brokerages, or misuses of systems.  Just hard luck for you, that is it.

What SGX sowed is what SGX reaps.  With dwindling volumes and " sure-lose" investing, the death bell might toll for the market.  Already with less than SGD100 million in value of shares traded till this moment, your broker/remisier will surely only earn less than $1000 per month.  Calculate it yourself> Cheers, and bye bye market for now, maybe for quite some time!!

Though settowin, honestly did not really win much. I found Stk Mkt very hard to win. Made a survey among friend players and found no good winners.   Mostly win some, lose some but the worst fact is that everybody seems to have book losses they don't seem to admit as losing. It is not losing, but holding for the hope that one fine day the stock might recover and win back. But is money really lost? I think so.

Last year because of recommendation to buy Ying Li, sway sway go and bought 2 lots of YL at 58 cents.  Did not sell, because only 2 lots mah. So lost half of the money invested at today's price.  Don't know if it could go back above 50 cents?

Stock markets move up and down according to crowd movements, and sometimes queerly contrary to crowd movements. The reason for movements are mostly speculation on the future profitability or non profitability, mainly told in news reports truthfully or dishonestly, of a stock or stocks as a whole.  In an upward move even some bad stocks could be influenced to move up and likewise it also happens that in a downward move some good stocks could be influenced to move down together with the whole market.  Some gurus advise that to make money in stock markets, you must buy profitable companies or turnaround companies the latter of which are currently making losses but are expected to return to profits. True or false? This depends on perception.  Hehehe. |
