Yup yesterday STI went up SAR closes up little but intraday also not too exciting. See the attached evaluation then decide yourself, I am loading anything less then 1.7, may not be able to get it but I am kiasu so queue already. Dow was down when I wrote, maynot be able to get dip. If you think there is anything in the rumours bet your coffee money.

In the past intraday fluctuation is almost 10 cents, now 5 cents fluctuation consider lucky.

Buying opportunity tomorrow, collect when dip, energy will cheong, even my todler know that, no need to quote any guru, Coal will be much cheaper than burning oil to power our air-con. In one way oil and coal are linked on the other they are not, quality also differs. SAR cheong because it is still under valued significantly, blur blur people follow North America coal futures, we should be following ICE. Watch out for Indian Coal buying foreign coal company.. c below

NTPC, Coal India to buy mining assets overseas 24 Jun 2009, 0118 hrs IST, Pradeep Pandey, ET Bureau.

While NTPC is focussing on Mozambique and Indonesia, Coal India is all set to sign a joint venture agreement with the Mozambique government and has also shortlisted mining firms in Australia and Indonesia, according to top executives from the two companies.

Speaking to ET, Coal India chairman Partha S Bhattacharyya said: “We hope to finalise our overseas expansion deals in Mozambique.

You bet the wrong cow today, Dairy went up  3.5% and Milk went up 4.7%
(approx) small difference. Bigger difference is Dairy make losses, Milk make profit.

Anyhow these two bovine shares are fantastic bargain. You can bet on either one Sometime people will read some glossy analyst report and then go into gaga buying and then we will hear "I told you so"...No call to do anything, only call mooooo

SGX said most of the S-Chip are good and have passed the audit. I am not worry about this one, this one is just not glamourous business, selling semens and trading raw milk, (yuck) but very good profit, very low P/E, milk confidence is returning, >50% since sacre, so if you are thinking of bargain look no further. Agriculture stocks seldom fails unless badly run, so everyone will get their milk every morning much more reliable than DBS or Capitaland

It will go up as the energy price and steel demand. We are buying it for longer term future not for yesterday or tomorrow. So the funds will have a longer term view which changes the price significantly.

Rights issue for this company is definately a good news, they are not in trouble they have new products in pipeline, extra cash will make them more profitable, they are about to report first profit, they are not relying on consumer confidence (making die-die must use product), yesterday heard from CNBC some guru there said life-sciences and tech are the favourite, hence NASDQ cheong yesterday, shortist and lemings created the best opportunity to buy more, look at the chart over the last year how does this share behave when everyone is panic selling? Up Bukit Batok Hill. Slow not very steep but sure and steady. Make your own conclusion.

Just in case you didn't know:

Worldwide use of coal is primarily as fuel for electricity generation, where it produces steam which drives turbines, and then generators to produce the electricity. About 75% of over 6 billion tons annual world coal production is used to generate electricity.

Oil price is nudging up all the time, solar, nuclear, wind are not here yet in scale we wanted, so what next? Palm Oil and Coal is what we get regionally. If you dont buy, your local electricity generator will buy.

FYI - Reuters

Globally, nothing's really happened fundamentally to change the overall situation. Both New York and Tokyo have fallen this week on a sense that they were overextended," said Hideyuki Ishiguro, a supervisor at the investment advisory section of Okasan Securities.

The economy is definitely improving -- after all, the Nikkei rose as far as 10,000 from just over 7,000 in March, which is quite substantial," said Yoku Ihara, a manager at the investment information department of Retela Crea Securities.

I seems to agree with this POV. Why sell now? The real bull has not properly started, it will start either half way from here or it will go back to May and then restart... which one is more likely? You judge...no prize for guessing it right.

This is not news, everyone knows this year coal price is not as good as last but look at next year when recovery is here (we cannot deny or choose to deny it will come) stock market is forward looking mechanism of raising money, so we are buying for future. One thing we can all be sure is the energy price will rocket by hook or by crook, so Coal futures go up little go down little does not matter, the general trend is up and steady. Who dare to say energy going to get cheaper for the next year? Shortist say tomorrow is cheaper then next day i dont care. So that is not what we are saying here. ENERGY IS GOING TO GET SUPER EXPENSIVE !! WATCH THIS SPACE.

CHINA TO SEE DECLINE IN COAL EXPORT PRICE AND VOLUME
Wednesday June 17, 2009 00:32:36 EDT

SHANGHAI, Jun 17, 2009 (AsiaPulse via COMTEX News Network) --

China is expected to see a decline in both coal prices and exports to the major destinations of Japan and South Korea, said experts.

Market hearsay went that China Shenhua Energy Co., Ltd (601088.SH; 1088.HK), the country's largest coal producer, will likely reduce the price of coal exports to 79 U.S. dollars per ton, dropping nearly 40 per cent below last year's 131.4 dollars per ton.

Statistics from the General Administration of Customs showed that China's coal exports dropped more than 40 per cent in the first five months of this year.

Analysts are predicting that China's coal export price and volume will both post sharp declines in 2009.

Shenhua also witnessed a 37.2 per cent decline in its exports from January to May.

Chen Guangshui, general manager of Shenhua's investor relations department, forecasted that his company's 2009 coal export price and volume will be lower than those in 2008.

As coal demand from Japan and South Korea has been shrinking, Chinese coal enterprises may reduce coal prices to retain their overseas customers, said Jin Run, an analyst with Guotai & Junan Securities.

Hehe hope you are not scaring people to dump so you can collect? ...dont understand logic why selling (going to be) a profit making company for a serious money losing company? Look at the analysts consensus between GentSP and BioS, so much difference, Genting is 50 cents and Bio is 90 cents, Gent loosing tons of $ and Bio loosing few bucks. Unless you are going to keep Genting for a few years to see profit? I say buy BioS as the next Q they have to report profit otherwise serious dumping will take place. Report profit or report loss for next Q is within their control, guess what they are going to do?

Anyway buy both is best, next Q generally result will be better than last Q for most stocks, so STI will cheong after drifting with low volume, so bet on either will Huat Huat Huat.. BioS is a slow mover Genting is a shortist fav, so pros and cons... Lots of people wanted to break the next support level in 2 weeks time...watch this space...
