However, a sense of manipulating, one sided controlling and even worst cornering do exist, think deeply and wisely!

CFD is not meant as a substitute for the actual market, or a cash margin account...

Admittedly, the choice of counters is presently limited, even at the SGX CFD (DMA)...

But the range of counters is already a goodly range of counters available

to whet the most demanding appetite..... Smiley

Let me show you the unfair part........ not all the counters in SGX catagory allowable to be CFD counter, also why some counter is only suitable for long and likewise some counter is only for short?! What does it imply for

Unfortunately, forget about factors such as holding time horizon for long and lasting time for short also volume flow rate after long and short.

I think CFD is the best thing ever invented since Blue-Tack.... Smiley

So does........ United food holding (unifood)! They are both in food industry activities!

Laulan      ( Date: 30-Jun-2010 14:55) Posted:

Another example of price below asset I know of is, PSC Corp.  Directors better be careful of a call for EGM.  Also many others should be wary of being questioned on why perhaps hidden skeletons?

baberic      ( Date: 30-Jun-2010 14:44) Posted:

Actually we can understand a shareholder's plight when his share price is traded way below the company's net asset.  So many Singapore stocks are experiencing this.  Something is sure to be wrong somewhere.  People mus talk and reason why. Is it the shortists refuse to let prices move up because no people willing to sell lower (at a lost)?  Must really meditate on it.

The best way to prevent excessive shorting is to impose a limit of quantity on short trades per person or per account.  Banks and financial institutions should be barred from shorting because they are the only ones using other people's money and doing shorting means taking money from clients and depressing their assets in return.  Wake up bright ones who lead in the global stock exchanges if you really want a healthy stock market where values are not eroded wilfully!

You can sell but not short selling!

iPunter      ( Date: 30-Jun-2010 14:40) Posted:

My friend, you have finally discovered the true nature of the stock market beast...

And by the way, re Laulan, the simple act of restricting selling will not stop people from selling,

Because when fear is real, people will want to have the freedom and chance to sell...

So when you restrict them from selling, you will only cause resentment among those

who want desperately to get out...

                          agree?... Smiley

baberic      ( Date: 30-Jun-2010 14:24) Posted:

This is called making money out of thin air, the stock market.  Short down the price and then buy back at the lowest.  So sometimes wonder what is the stock market meant for investors.

In the first place SGX aims for business revenue so .......... maximising trading volume by placing any strategic capital market rule and constraint ..... and related market participant follow suit...... so two sided trading and investing i.e. long also short allowed to create huge and desired trading volume..... on and on subsequently all un- expected and wrong doing by market participant enlarge as such........ in short... GHOST circle loop exist .... finally capital market disaster!!!
