Temasek holding converted Mrrill Lynch's share to Bank of Amercia and now ,Temasek sold all Bank america shares.  My friend was quick enough to have sold last month all his so call Merrill Lynch's  'CAPITAL PROTECTED' investment (US$) recommended by citibank and lost 10% .  Can merrill luynch of BOA able to sustain till the maturity ?  LOL!!    Lets wait for possible bankcruptcy announcement from either of the above. 

I would think Temasek loses money on the above investment when they sold their holdings.

SINGAPORE (Dow Jones)--Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd. sold its entire 3.8% stake in Bank of America Corp. (BAC) as of March 31, according to a quarterly report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

A Temasek spokeswoman confirmed the Bank of America divestment, but didn't elaborate.

The Singapore state investment company reported holding about 219.7 million Merrill Lynch shares in December. Those shares were later converted into Bank of America shares.

According to the same SEC filing, Temasek also sold ICICI Bank Inc. (532174.BY) American depositary receipts.

It held 3.6 million ADRs in December, according to a previous SEC filing.

Hi, anyone got chart showing broadbase stock oversold?   If it is 'straight down' correction , it would be quite clear cut.  What i am afraid is , this is a 'gradual down' and slowly, price inching down every other day. I was caught holding the falling knife previously and now, once beaten twice shy.

I will wait for further price drop then i will buy(buy low sell high) cos i just very small buyers and cant hold up to those super big players who 'shake' the price drop to scare the small fry and ultimately, when the day 10,000 or 2500 comes, I would have nothing left to sell.  LOL.  

No hard feeling even if there is rally. If there is, congrates to those who long the stocks!

if you have sold the stock  when you previously owned them, the CR will entitled to the one who bought them from you at a higher price. so that person will have the chance to purchase the right shares ( dont worry letter will be given to those entitled to the rights) .

You gain some money by selling them fast. if you wait until XR date, the price of kepland will drop for sure and  then you may feel sad.

Erm ... you may want to know how to apply the right before you commit to it ya.. I believe there is already a kepland thread on right issue. go read them ya ..

Remember if you make mistakes in this market , it is YOUR responsiblilty , SGX and your brokerage house will not bear for you... haha i learnt my lesson already. if got problem , ask your TR loh ....

CR last day?  So, i sold this stock and i am not entitled to cum rigts to buy at 1.09?  I rather sold them than keeping them just for the cum rights entitlement.  Anyway, i didnt pay attention to CR cos too engross with share price movement.

My friend has been doing this and i am wondering can this really make profit?

Last year, US$ plunged to low of $1.40?  She used S$14,000.00 to buy US currency 10,000.00.  When US currency was at 1.52, she then converted this US$10,000 @ 1.52 which comes up to 15,200.     In this way, she actually earned 1,200 per transaction per 10,000.00.  There is no charge of conversion cos she uses internet transfer here and there and when became bolder, her transactoin amt is higher and higher.

This is another way to profit from currency conversion between S$ and US$.?

last day of CR , i hope it will be the highest ?  logical it has to be that way? 

btw ... if you keep this long until it become 7 dollar stocks , the return is about 300 to 400%

possible if today can hit 2.6 tomorrow will around 2.8 to 2.9 if us market is ok . Monday will the highest like maybe 3.3. The price at XR i hope is around 2.5 if it is 3.3. this is my gut feeling. not chart ... just based on market feeling.
