My point is you are wrong to say if got cash can buy at any price.

Becos rich people/investors are in fact even more prudent than the typical average punter/gambler!

Mine I intend to hold for mid to long-term both for attractive dividends & share price upside.

Now put money in my FD , the interest is so miserable.

I believe after your that buy trade at $1.90, you did not average down to buy again when it dropped below $1.80 las Fri?

Looks like no more chance to buy below $1.80 again.

Many forumners don't know whether they r shortists or they enjoy seeing vested shareholders get more frightful , they just enjoy posting doomsday scenario that certain counters will crash much further when these counters are dropping heavily. Example, recently when Venture was at $3.90-$3.95 got forumner post in CNA market talk he said avoid, sure will reach $3.20 soon. & when CapitalMall was $1.40, got another that posted avoid, will reach bottom price target of 65 cents.

Of course, experienced investors/traders will ignore those scaremongering postings

As it always does, greed & fear at work.

Just last fri, many would have feel the price would fall lower and would you have bought when the price stays around 1.76 before closing?

Or you would want to be on the safe side ,  thinking price would go lower today?

Not just in this counter i would say and you have ppl posting it will tank further, lower & you fear to enter.

Trust your judgement once you did your homework & knowing your objective, be it intraday, short or mid term.

Realisticly, what's the lowest price u guys think Starhub can fall to? I'm beginning to regret I never buy big on Starhub during yesterday's late afternoon huge selldown to $1.79 to $1.76.

I'm vested only a few lots in this, still within contra but I'm very tempted to buy big on Starhub & hold for long-term for both attractive dividends & share price upside. I hope I won't missed the boat. Just last month, Starhub hit an intraday high of abt $2.38

Btw, dont give unrealistic, absurd bottom target, example I saw 1 forumner post in CNA market forum that according to his fibonnaci calculation, he said CapitalMall will fall to 65 cents. The very next day after his post, CapitalMall rose very strongly from $1.40 instead. Haha

since u are vested in Starhub, do u think roughly by when this Starhub will be $2.20 again?

Btw, I saw from the chart, early last month, Starhub did hit an intraday high of about $2.38

24 Oct Starhub closed at $2.10, & 28 Oct it closed at $1.95. Those 2 days was the lowest point for STI index this year.

buysell      ( Date: 12-Dec-2008 09:29) Posted:

I can't be sure on your first assumption but there isn't any bad news coming from the company. Their 3rd quarter did better than the 2nd quarter this year and things are looking good as a whole.

Though their gearing is rather high but considering in this industry, they need to invest & build on their infrastructure and the nature of their business would accord consistency even thru yr 2009.... just my observation.

In fact yesterday thurs it even closed at a price $1.90 which is even lower than that 28 Oct( which it closed at $1.95 that day is the day where STI/blue chips hit lowest intraday this year). All other midcaps/big caps have rebounded way, way above their 24 Oct closing low but this Starhub closed even lower than $1.95 today.

Do u think it's just big boys pushing down this counter to collect themselves cheap for a strong push later on? Or u think there might be some negative news coming up?

Will this be same pattern like CapMall Trust/CapCom Trust? , which it also fell very heavily initialy but rebounded very strongly this past 2 days

buysell      ( Date: 11-Dec-2008 23:35) Posted:

telco companies are defensive stock during a downturn period, what i am surprised is that starhub didn't move up much these few days .

I would have expect it to edge up to around 2.2x  region ...just from my findings.

you are wrong.

It's not the actual figure that matters. For casual reference, their price targets can provide as a casual guide mah.

It can tell us whether market is generally bullish on a particular counter's potential or not?

any views on tis counter at current price? Any short-term price target?

Looks very tempting, other mid caps/big caps have risen/rebounded very strongly off their lows but tis counter is still very near it's low

Any TA guy here wanna share his view's on Venture's likely price direction for the next few days?

Some one told me 1 brokerage call for a TA buy when it was $3.95 recently, suggesting upside in near-term???

Btw, I just realized Venture did rebound from it's Oct 28th low to an intraday high of $7 in the following days. But it's now still languishing near it's lows whereas the banks have oredi rebounded well above their recent lows.
