G20 Takes Center Stage in New World Order


The Group of 20 rich and developing countries were set to anoint themselves as caretakers of the global economy on Friday, giving rising stars such as China and India more say in world affairs.

Heading into their second day of meetings aimed at assuring the economy emerges from a deep global recession with better safeguards against another financial crisis, the G20 pledged to keep emergency economic supports in place until recovery is secured, according to a draft communique obtained by Reuters.

What a strange date - 28 September!  Did the Board consult a fortune-teller who subsequently advised on this seemingly auspicious date???

I thought only the small private companies would adopt financial year ends such as 8 August,  16 August, etc?

Pac Andes' purchases of China Fishery may just be to accrue more of its earnings into its books as CFG's results are consolidated. Thus, I do not see much reason for speculation of a delisting and privatization.

For me, nothing to get excited about. Let's wait for their FY 2009 results by end-Nov 2009 (year-end has been changed to Sep 28).
