BB were unable to unload their shares last few days now into unloading mode, tactic is buy it up by the 1 lot, 1 lot and sell it off at 10lot 10lots, so many not-so-savvy contra players who think they can outsmart the BB may fall victim to this "unloading" ploy. Software that helps to analyse the market depth and automatically formulate buying and selling strategy and automate this, faster than human minds can think....so be careful if you are not well equipped and gambling your kids education fee. I would get out and wait for the 2000 level before entering and then wait. I am sure you know already...

can share how CFD works? tks .  If this allows one month to cover the short, then, its a 'sure win' trade! unless there is interests charge while waiting to cover back the short say at the end of 30th days?

When I born, I black
When I grow up, I black

When I go in Sun, I black

When I scared, I black

When I sick, I black

And when I die, I still black

And you white fellow
When you born, you pink

When you grow up, you white

When you go in sun, you red

When you cold, you blue

When you scared, you yellow

When you sick, you green

And when you die, you gray

And you calling me colored????

Interesting, George Soros said in an interview with a German Newspaper 11 May 2009, that "he now expected the global economy to recover about Half of the losses suffered in the past 18 months, before leveling off for a period."

Soros: We averted a financial collapse

Legendary investor George Soros has called the end of the global economic collapse, predicting a recovery before a period of stagnation.

Only a few months ago Soros – who has made billions with the Quantum Fund he co-founded in the 1970s – was speculating that the FTSE 100 would fall.

But he today told a German newspaper that he now expected the global economy to recover about half of the losses suffered in the last 18 months, before leveling off for a period.

Financial crisis: What next?

Shares: What next?

Soros told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung daily: 'The economic freefall has been stopped, the collapse of the financial system averted.'

'National economic stimulus programmes are starting to take effect... The downward dynamic is easing.'

Soros also said that Asia would be the first region to pull out of the crisis and China was set to overtake the United States as the engine of world growth.

'I expect the recovery to make up for around half of the downturn we have had and then to move into stagnation,' Soros was quoted as saying by the paper.

Soros said the US dollar was already weak, adding: 'I don't expect the dollar to lose much value against the euro, on the contrary.'

The Hungarian-born financier most famously bet against the pound before it was forced out of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism (ERM) on 'Black Wednesday' in 1992. The bet earned around $1bn.

He was also one of the first commentators to grasp the seriousness of the credit crunch. He issued a warning in November 2007 and in January 2008, shortly after news of the Bear Stearns meltdown, he correctly warned that the subsequent financial crisis would the worst since the Second World War.

Today's upbeat message from Soros came hours after Deutsche Bank economists predicted the recession in the UK could be over as soon as next month.

Friend shares this with me ( a working class who dont have lots of lots cash to hold stocks for more than 1 or 3 months)

After buying a 'good and fundamentally sound stock' using cash,  if its price falls, buy on dip (the lowest amt possible)  by using CPF.  Of course  one has to have sufficient fund in cpf.    After averaging (cash and CPF) sometimes, CPF gains lesser or  some loss because the entry price was higher than the cash entry price.   But, overall, its a trade that 'sold with gain instead of  selling at loss or sell  with panic or cutting loss and this will always end up losing money all the time.   Isnt it a way to draw out some CPF money frm trade like this.

Careful when click buy/sell when CPF shares is involved.

For info.   Citibank is still selling those investment products by Merrill Lynch!!.   I am very puzzled and wonder MAS knows about that? Temasek is a victim by investing billions in this company  and Temasek should have taken note of that in order to prevent the 'Lehman Brothers' saga'.why didnt they put a  stop to all the selling of such risky investment products run by high risk companies that may face acquisition or bankcruptcy?  All the 'capital' invested by people, will not be able to recover back if these companies file for bankcruptcy.

I believe Temasek must have lost quite abit.  They wont tell us.  My friend had holding of merrill lynch investment (capital protected) and sold off (at least 10 - 15% loss)  somewhere in april'09. He didnt thin merrill lynch could pay back his entire US$ capital upon maturity (in yr 2010).     He didnt know Temasek sold the shares in March, if  he would have known, he would have sold off in March  and the loss could be lesser.  March is the month that most share went up and i believe Temasek use this opportunity to sell in that month to minimise losses?

p/s - he wanted to sell this investment  last year but held back thinking that since 'Our Temasek' is still holding those share with Merrill Lynch and Citibank (the agent for merrill lunch) also assured him Temasek is still holding those shares.  But,,,, they never said 'Tamesek has transfered the share from Merrill lynch to Bank of america)!!

PSC never treat analysts expensive flight/ hotel / food is it?  Just kidding.  I heard some analysts get to go some road shows being held overseas  by company
These analysts got good hotel/food paid for while they are there and of course, when  back home, they write 'flourish report' on the company.  LOL!

Laulan      ( Date: 15-May-2009 11:28) Posted:

Many analysts should be sacked from their work.  Why? You look at the splendid performance of many companies and they were pretensiouly ignored as though nothing good has happened to these good performers. PSC Corp a very good example of a GEM.  Its revenue and profits have shown to be on the move, eps shot up, nta more than double the market price and yet nobody seems to notice, except me and I am buying.  Of course there are some big guys slowly collecting. That is why many analysts must be sacked from their jobs.
