WASHINGTON : The US budget deficit is expected to hit a record 1.4 trillion
dollars in 2009, some 950 billion dollars greater than the shortfall recorded
last year, the Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.
Congress's
non-partisan financial watchdog said the forecast federal deficit for the fiscal
year that ended in September was the highest shortfall -- relative to the size
of the economy -- since 1945.
The deficit resulted from both declining
revenues and increased spending, stemming mostly from aid to the financial
system and fiscal stimulus to jolt the world's largest economy from a prolonged
recession, the CBO said.
Revenues in 2009 were almost 420 billion
dollars or 17 percent below receipts chalked up last year, the lowest level in
over 50 years, it said.
At the same time, outlays increased by over 530
billion dollars or 18 percent in 2009 to the highest level also in over half a
century.
The federal deficit in 2008 was 459 billion dollars.
The deficit estimates were based on data from daily statements from the
US Treasury and CBO projections.
Treasury officials said they would
report the actual deficit in the middle of this month.
The White House
projected in August that the 2009 fiscal budget deficit would reach 1.58
trillion dollars.
It also estimated a whopping 9.05-trillion-dollar
deficit for the 2010-2019 period, a two-trillion-dollar increase from the
February estimate made a month after President Barack Obama entered office and
inherited a gaping deficit from his predecessor, George W. Bush.
The CBO
said the federal government recorded a deficit of 31 billion dollars in
September, compared with a surplus of 42 billion dollars in the same month last
year.
"Quarterly payments of estimated individual income taxes and
corporate income taxes typically result in a surplus for September; however,
lower revenues and increased spending resulted in the 12th consecutive month of
budget deficits," it said.

I have added another 5 lots at 0.215 cents. I feel it is a good buy. This would average out my earlier purchase of 10 lots at 0.235 cents.
The chart looks flat and the stock looks volatile do not panic if it deeps at 0.19 cents that what happen to me few weeks back when i sold at a loss.
However I have made a gain back, buying into China Eratat and sold it at 0.215 cents.
I am now using a buy and sell technique on this counter. Buy low Sell high it still makes small money.
On this counter i am aiming at 0.26 cents can it happen

You ask yourself is Q3 report gonna be good or bad. China Ore business is really really tough.
Abterra have over stretched themselves, seeking loans to buy mines...... We need hard evidences that Abterra can really come out of this shit thats why Q3 report is very very important. Good luck.

2 months ago Abterra has no mines. Due to the legislation in china, the smaller mine will not allow to be operate. Therefore it give Abterra opportunity to buy these mines. Strait Asia is pretty established. If Strait Asia is given a rating of 8/10. Abterra is somewhere 2/10. Abterra has a chance to grow and established as China now tighten imports of Iron Ore from overseas. However Iron Ore market in China is pretty much over supplied at the moment with loads of Iron Ore sitting at the dock. Further worsen the outlook is the local competitive level is extremely high with new deposit being discovered not to forget they recently open up more mines in the inner Mongolia region. There are many challenges Abterra have to overcome at this moment. Its either small and die off or Big and win for Abterra, they have to be big "which is what they are doing now". Buying up Mines/Mine Operations and massaging relationship with the Top officials in China so they can get funds, approval of acquisition, license and many more. Therefore, If they make it you can make at least 20-40 times as of current value, but you could lose everything if they fail.
