Share price catalysts

·                  Management has been authorised to carry out share buyback of up to 10% of issued capital. Although the group has yet to initiate the share buybacks, any smallest purchase from the open market would represent management’s confidence on the company’s prospects.

• STX OSV – Overhang appears well absorbed, attractive
on forward PE valuation. Accumulate at current level
looking beyond the short-term.

Target Price : $2.00

Marco Polo is an extremely low volume traded stock. Can go either way easily.

I agree. Don't anyhow mislead people into shorting the market when the market is obviously going the opposite direction since last year. That person really should not be tolerated!

Stocks is a serious game, especially for all the innocent stock newbies.

Anyone who misleads others about stocks is not to be tolerated.

All must be discerning to know who is actually misleading people,

and who is giving valuable insight.

Midas Holdings: Proxy play to China’s infrastructure-led growth

Summary: We view Midas Holdings (Midas) as a proxy play to the economic recovery story of China in 2013, which would be driven in part by rising urbanisation and railway investments. The latter could amount to CNY600-650b, according to media reports. We believe that China’s Ministry of Railways could resume high-speed passenger train car contract tenders in 1Q13. We expect this to translate into order wins for Midas from its customers in 1H13, with deliveries possibly happening from 2H13. Despite Midas’ recent share price surge, we believe that more upside potential exists. This is premised on the improved optimism of the industry recovery prospects, which has led to a sector re-rating. Coupled with a more “risk-on” approach adopted by the market, we raise our fair value estimate on Midas from S$0.50 to S$0.60 as we ascribe a higher FY13F P/B peg of 1.2x (previously 1x). Maintain BUY. (Wong Teck Ching Andy)

Based on your sayings, a trader better stay out of the market and don't take any calculated risk at all.

This is very dangerous for stock newbies, because they always want to believe in something,

Anything that sounds authentic to them, they will believe. And when they believe, they will " mau " .

Now regarding direction and trend, no one can tell the direction or the trend.

The trend or direction which is revealed by the market is only till the present moment.

From this present moment on, the direction or trend can change or reverse.

In other words, no one knows when it will reverse. It may reverse, it may not.

To say that it is going in any particular direction is being contentious,

and that is bad. Hope stock newbies get the point so far. But I bet not... lol... Smiley

This stock is likely to perform very well next week. 1.40 likely to be broken towards 1.45. Time for this precious to shine. Look for unusual breakout volume to propel the price higher.

thanks

Peter_Pan      ( Date: 12-Jan-2013 00:02) Posted:

Likely revised up. Results aside, outlook is looking good. The first resistance has turned support. The second resistance which was briefly broken will depend on the up-coming report to turn support, which I think is also very likely.

It is really up to them how they want to position themselves after this latest measures. The tide has turned against the property sector. Maybe they might consider to be more more heavy on the oil and gas sector play. The recent strong performance in this sector is also due to their accumulation activities.

So which sector will the funds go to? Shipping?

Peter_Pan      ( Date: 12-Jan-2013 12:15) Posted:

Given the latest property cooling measures, big funds may consider shifting their funds into sectors with obvious growth potential in 2013. The sun may have finally set on the property sector here.
