Doji in candelstick charts needs the 'trend' to confirm its acton...............therefore, i am still thinking that TA needs a 'TREND' to confirm its actoin... I would think in stock market , 'Trend' is a very important factor to influence charts. Just my opinion. :) |

Mermaid reported headline net profit of Bt714.5m (-38% y-o-y) on revenue of Bt5.2bn (-1% y-o-y). An improved performance from the drilling division was offset by weak utilisation on its subsea fleet, leading to a flat y-o-y performance at the EBIT level. However, losses attributable to associates and the higher tax expense vs. FY08, led to a drop in bottomline; we estimate Mermaid’s FY09 recurring net profit to be Bt748.7m (-25% y-o-y) after excluding exceptionals from forex translational losses and disposal gains, in line with our estimate of Bt727m. Cash horde favours opportunistic asset acquisitions. The group saw a >2x increase in its operating cash flow, to Bt1.9bn. Together with cash balance of Bt1.5bn as of end September 2009 and proceeds of Bt3.7bn from its recently completed rights issue, Mermaid has built up a sizeable war chest for potential asset acquisitions. Recommendation A better FY10? Mermaid’s specialized subsea vessels are currently experiencing high utilisation rates as oil and gas companies resume their work programs for projects previously delayed. Also, recent call for tenders for rigs could potentially lead to contract awards for 2-3 tender rigs commencing from February through April 2010. Golden Agri-Resources Limited Plantation Acquisition 3 December 2009 Golden Agri-Resources Limited (“GAR”) subsidiary, Asia Palm Oil Investment Pte. Ltd has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the share capital of Enterprise Capital Corporation (“ECC”), a company incorporated in Malaysia. ECC has several subsidiaries that are principally engaged in the ownership and cultivation of oil palm plantation in Indonesia. The acquisition will cost US$110 million on a willing-buyer-willing-seller basis after taking into account independent valuations on the oil palm plantations owned by the ECC group of approximately US$129 million. GAR will finance the deal using the proceeds from the Rights Issue completed in July this year. To recap, GAR raised approximately US$215 million from the Rights Issue. There were limited details furnished regarding the ECC to assess the valuations although the move is in line with the company’s plans to expand its planted hectarage by 30,000ha in 2009. Going forward, the group plans to increase its planted hectarage by 50,000ha per annum. We lower our recommendation to Hold call due to the limited upside from our target price. We leave our estimates unadjusted for now given the limited information on the deal at this point. Decision making time - Is 1200 key support ? Just about thinking of selling, then, you will always see some reports next height of gold will reach 1300 , 1500 etc....... If sell now, will leave not much to profit when it hits high of 1500..
