Maintain BUY with a target price of S$1.86/share pegged at 30% discount to RNAV of S$2.67/share. Ho Bee is trading at a deep discount of 0.65x P/B and 45% discount to its RNAV and it's one of our top pick in the property sector.

UOB:
Hotel Windsor is a mix of retail/hotel space with first 9 storey comprising of a retail podium and 225 hotel rooms on the upper floor levels with a total GFA of about 156,638 sqft. In our model we are conservatively valuing the asset at S$64m which accounts to ~3% of its RNAV(S$1.9b) and 4% of its book value(S$1.7b). Media sources has reported the selling prices of about S$163m, which if goes through will result in an accretion of 14 S cents or a 5% accretion to our current RNAV of S$2.67/share. We don't expect any special dividends from the sale(despite low gearing of 0.26x) considering volatile macro environment and expect funds to be pumped back into acquisition of Singapore commercial or overseas properties(mainly China).

CIMB Research raised its target price for Midas Holdings Ltd , which supplies components for railway projects, to S$0.63 from S$0.41 and kept its 'outperform' rating, citing expectations of more high-speed rail contract wins.
At 0126 GMT, Midas shares were up 1.2 percent at S$0.425. They have gained 28.8 percent since the start of the year, outperforming the FTSE ST China Index's 0.5 percent rise.
CSR Corp Ltd, China's state-owned locomotive manufacturer, expects to see high-speed contracts by the end of this year or the first quarter of 2013, which will benefit Midas, CIMB said.
Midas also has a strong balance sheet, relying on short-term loans and receivable securitisation to fund its working capital, the brokerage said.
Although Midas will be entering a capital-intensive phase when it starts construction of a new production facility, CIMB said its balance sheet offers some buffer in any prolonged order drought or liquidity shortage.

Unlikely OUE is able to raise the offer above 9.25.  My guts feel is that Kirin wil join force with TCC to effect an unconditional offer at slighly above  or at the the current offer price - win win for all concerned except OUE

F& N +0.5% TCC Assets extends bid deadline

Written by Dow Jones & Co, Inc

Thursday, 25 October 2012 13:52 |
F& N continues to bob merrily above the $8.88/share takeover bid
from TCC Assets, trading up 0.7% at $9.25, even as the Thai group said
it was extending its offer period to Nov 8 from the original Oct 29
deadline.
The move might seem incongruous, with the Thai bid already meeting a
tepid response, viewed as “not compelling” by F& N’s financial
advisors, and in the face of a potential competing bid. But the Thai
group may want F& N’s share price to remain supported if property
company OUE, controlled by Indonesia’s Riady family, decides it won’t
start a land war for the Singapore conglomerate.
Through ThaiBev and TCC Assets, Thai billionaire Charoen
Sirivadhanabhakdi controls 35.68% of F& N, including acceptances,
setting a high bar for any competing bid. Volume is strong, with $25.5
million worth of shares changing hands, boosted by a block of 1.0
million shares changing hands pre-open at $9.226. F& N appears
unlikely to rise to test its $9.49 all-time high, while this week’s low
at $9.16 might offer some support.

Whole year profit soared 62% and revenue approached 1 billion. Last year's Subsea oil operation investments are reaping good gains.  Should be moving above 1.20 soon and will keep vested on short to mid term basis

Back to my post two months ago when it was .395. The price did not rise much. Catalyst in Nov if China announces more infrastructure stimuli, and when the committed projects are fulfilled. Counter to watch out.
skk888 ( Date: 09-Sep-2012 00:30) Posted:
Just checked more from its financial reports. Made a mistake, they didnt make losses, but their associated company did. However, the latest quarter profits dropped to RMB 1.5m, a decline of 97% yoy. But their NAV is above current trading price which makes it attractive to enter. And dividend they distributed last year was $0.005 per share. If we get it this year or slightly lesser, it will be around 1%.
Yes, saw that they have an increase in inventory under their assets.  And the trains for the latest announced projects will only start delivery from 2013, though the supplier may get the inventories earlier than that.

Nevertheless, I think other positive contributions, if any, for the next 2Q will not be able to make up for the subpar performance the last 2Q. The results will still be low compared to 2011, and therefore the potential earnings does not match the previous share price in 2011. To require holding it for 2Q or more is a conservative estimate, though I may be wrong. For investors who can hold at least 6 months, I think this is quite an attractive. If the price drops back to .335 it will be best. If it exceeds .40, I personally would not enter.
  Let's see next week. :)  |

I think it has a good chance of move towards 50 cents.  Buying support now is quiet robust with buyers outnumbering sellers.  Holding on to mine until the competing war for F & N is clearer
skk888 ( Date: 25-Oct-2012 12:15) Posted:
CIMB TP .60, but mine is lower. It's currently in a win situation, whether it completes its acquisition or sell off its shares to competing bid. The price will drop if it counter bid using ThaiBev with its current gearing is already BBB. Continue to use TCC Assets will be fine for Thaibev. I think .445 is still good to enter, but upside not as much as when it was .40. Keep a close watch if you enter at this price.
I'm vested. :)
