Relax folks, it will go up, just keep them in the locked cupboard and come back a year later. all these contracts needs to be fulfilled and then become profit, when the profit is about to be reported then you get a lot of buying interest, until then there are other companies reporting in the mean time. so simply load up and forget it for a while.

This means we are out of the woods already, no fear to hold to your stocks, i mean selectively. When the unemployment increases then we can start to panic, the gold rush was a bit of pre-emptive, it will drop after a while when the inflation is not felt immediately, but 6 months down the road the real inflation may be felt. Then the gold rush will be back again. My boss told me so...

Before the opening bell, the government released reports on housing starts, building permits and jobless claims.

The Census Bureau said that housing starts rose 1.5% to an annual rate of 598,000 in August. That was considerably higher than industry experts were predicting: The consensus analyst forecast compiled by Briefing.com was for 583,000 new starts.

Building permits rose 2.7% to 579,000 from a revised 564,000 in July.

The Labor Department also released its weekly report on U.S. jobless claims.

The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment dropped to 545,000 in the week ended Sept. 12, the government said, compared to the prior week's revised figure of 577,000. This is less than the 555,000 claims that were expected, according to a consensus of estimates from Briefing.com.

Continuing claims, a measure of those receiving benefits for a week or more, increased by 129,000 to 6.23 million, the government said.

Hehe still long way to go up, dont rush, relax and if all stay green on both side of the pacific, this one may break 2.8. Volume still very low, so not representitive, I think this is a great counter for the mutual funds, just need some interest and 2.8 will be no problem. Fundamentally it can take 2.8, not empty shell, but real solid business model.

tkimcs , pardon me for not be able to predict this one as my crystal ball has gone blurr, my hunch is this is gonna be one tha may hit high high one day but I cannot tell you when is that one day is. So dont rely on this to make short term gain, consider this as 4D or TOTO or lottery buy. Kopi money or Carlsberg money or charity is ok. I see this gonna stuck between 0.5 to 0.6 for a while, unless a BB make a move. BB has many good counters out there to make money this is a recovery play, emerging play as well as high risk high gain/loose play. So mutual funds will need to be of this category to be able to load up this. When the income funds, STI linked growth funds are all saturated, this one will see some action. Fundamentally this company has good dynamic culture, with right time and right places, this company can strike great deal which will catapault it to higher grounds, but if they are too ambitious and have too big a head it will tumble. So lets monitor their progress. Coal is a good money spinner when the steel and energy demand goes up, oil is earmarked to hit new highs so potentially a good one to hold. If they have some accidents or bad acquisition, then the story may change.

This company is an aggesive company, if it makes it makes big big, if it looses it loose big big also. So if it moves it moves high high if it doesnt it stay within 0.5 to 0.6. Play this only if you have holding power. Or you buy small small lots and make your broker happy (kaching! on commission). Keep this as part of your retirement kopi money but monitor it regularly. Dont rely on this to pay your mortgage or child school fee.

Sep. 14, 2009 (China Knowledge) - Yanlord Land Group, a Singapore-listed real estate developer based in China, plans to sell the last batch of apartments in Yanlord-Yunjie Riverside Garden Phase 2 in November, sources reported.

The selling price and number of apartments have not been released yet, but the apartments will each have a floor area of 90 square meters.

The project, which is located in Qingpu District, Shanghai, covers a land area of 326,500 sq m and has a total potential floor area of 320,000 sq m. It will consist of two phases comprising 1,782 apartments in total. Apartments in Phase 1 will each have a floor area of between 119 sq m and 166 sq m. The project's floor area ratio will be 1.2, and landscaped areas will cover around 52% of the development.

On Sep. 10, Yanlord Land failed to win the bid for a parcel in Shanghai. China Overseas Land & Investment Ltd<0688> bought the parcel for around RMB 7 billion, a price RMB 400 million more than the price Yanlord Land offered to pay.

Reportedly, Yanlord Land reaped S$802.21 million in revenue in the first half of this year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 57% from S$511.88 million.

Whoopie.....next Q result will go (not telling you.....my boss say cannot tell)...

The principal activity of the Group is a real estate developer based in the PRC that focuses on developing high-end residential property projects in strategically selected key and high-growth cities in the PRC. The Group has expanded its geographical reach of their residential property development business into Shanghai, Chengdu, Tianjin, Zhuhai, Suzhou and Guiyang. Its residential property developments are typically large-scale, multi-phased projects designed and built by leading architects, designers and contractors. It has started the development of high-grade commercial properties, such as office buildings, retail space and serviced apartments, for sale and lease. In addition, the Group also provides property management services.

What has this company got to do with the new garmen policy in Singapore? I see this is a dip to soak up....

Ray, dont think your post offended anyone, definately not me, as an intraday trader you are absolutely right with your strategy and observation, thanks for highlighting the H&S, I am a slow snail investor, so view it differently, cost of trading and after sold already didnt get it back on time was my past mistakes as I cannot afford to glue to the terminal all day, peek in form time to time when free. So situation a bit different and have to survive bashing from time to time during corrections. Yes I agree short term not great as other stocks in STI have fallen 2%, so this one will follow, but Shanghai index actually went up, hehe...this means Yanlord has became "cheaper" as it was drag down by Singapore stock and not changed in company's fundamental . Will see in the next few days, if the trend continues I am gonna cut loss, dump and run, come back when it found new lows. hehe..Anyway bought at low price, can cut any time still grinning....
