Ya agreed Ah boy very clever one. The last time I listened to his advice (in Jan, STI 2900 drop to 2700+) I was quick to make an exit and make a small profit. I pm to thank him. This time must openly thank him
Like yummygd, I am also an auntie. My children said I am an auntie because I like to go different supermarket and get the best deal. You know, NTUC nowadays have "This store offer" and it is really good deal (sometimes buy one get one free).
Now I am also looking at best buy for stocks if any (I am small investor only la) |

Aiyoh, I cannot be sifu lah ! Yes, I did say that for those who are late to sell wat they have, they dun have to worry because there should be another leg up to make new highs in HSI, SSE and STI. But this should be seen as the last resort and "no choice" situation, because traders should not try to hold on to their positions when the trend changed (like wat IPunter said before many many times). Minimal holdings, if you have no choice, should be ok lah.

No, not according to Mark Galasiewski from EWI, chief analyst for Asian indices. If you count from March 2009, you should be able to count a nice 5 waves up to the recent high. That means we are now in a B of B correction downwards. If Mark is correct, then there should be another 3 waves drop or triangle or flat for B of B, before C of B takes us to the 78.6% Fibbo, at least, around 3391. Then Big C should happen.
If Mark is wrong, then all you have to do is just wait for March lows to be broken ! Either ways, this is not buying time... |

I totally agree. Have holding power people will not die haha even though i trade small small i not worried or cry everynight haha i can zzz n sometimes even forget the market hahaha. So sigh i won't be someone who shivers in my pants whenever I hear the word stocks.

haha Ipunter sorry i dun wanna be any one teacher i dun aim to be anyone teacher or gain anyone's approval :) see i come here to learn n to see if i can read about news that i miss and see how people r reacting to the market. Sometimes we meet experience traders like Anthony n Boy Boy and we can learn alot from them. Other times we come here to bullshit n chitchat to waste the time away. What is there to gain from letting people think "Ahhh she is a guru" when in actual fact it has no benefits to me :) U want teachers or sifu go to school or mountains in china i think got alot hahaha.

and somemore if one buy n sell too often it is actually eating into ur profit because of the fees one pays. of course if one is a trader n need to trade for a living that is diff. I dun think there is a wrong way of playing the market.like Ipunter think it is important to see making money every month while some seem to not care if its making or losing as long as in e future counter can grow into something big. Like HL Asia Now blue chip those who bought n kept for sometime now become millionair liao. maybe during the time when they r keeping they r still normal everyday working people but 10 years later they become millionaire. I rather be someone like that haha though my holdings all too small to make me into a millionaire but I will buy when i have the cash. Of course if a counter prove to be a mistake n in my case lost all hopes i will sell. even though i make a loss.

peg_li, need not be depressed. u r not alone. my losses is more than u, when the stock went up, feel happy but also on paper only, so long u din borrow or on margin, let it be, what goes down and will be up again (just the matter of time), of course this is not the way of a smart trader/investor should do, but dont let this losses affect your routine life.
i m not rushing in now but try to cherry pick if there is any good one which hit my target price, meantime i park some of my fund to earn some fix income. |
