Shares of oil and gas provider Ezion Holdings Ltd
jumped as much as 3.5 percent to a record high of S$2.08 on
Wednesday.
OCBC Investment Research said Ezion Holdings had performed
" extremely well" in 2012 and its outperformance had continued
till now.
" We expect the group to secure more contracts, solidifying
its earnings base with the deployment of additional assets,"
OCBC said in a report.
The brokerage has an 'overweight' rating on the oil and gas
sector and maintains its preference for companies with earnings
growth or sustainability backed by a strong order book and a
positive outlook for their industry subsegment.

As investors push equities and other risk assets to multi-year highs, one question being raised by analysts is whether upbeat markets are becoming too complacent. Lim Say Boon, chief investment officer at DBS Private Bank in Singapore, says while markets are probably not pricing in long-term structural problems such as huge debt levels in many major economies, the sharp and swift move into stocks this year do not reflect complacency. Instead, the rally in risk assets shows investors are finally taking a step back from high levels of fear and anxiety that ruled last year. In the past three months, shares in the U.S. and Asia have rallied more than 6 percent, while stocks in Europe have gained 4 percent, as fears about U.S. fiscal worries subside and economic data paint a brighter outlook for global growth. It's a sharp contrast to the middle of last year, when a surge in Spanish government bonds yields and worries about a break-up of the euro zone triggered a sharp fall in the euro and equity markets globally.

Last week, Ezion announced that it has received endorsements to
develop a marine supply base to support the offshore oil & gas scene in
Australia. This is a critical factor which had been delaying the award of
LNG-related contracts, and with the marine base starting operations by
September this year, contracts should start flowing again. We think the
recent 25% correction is overdone, presenting an extremely attractive
entry point.

Lack of staging ground for offshore projects now resolved. We
understand that the lack of a staging ground was a critical reason for the LNG
project delays. The offshore projects required clear land, warehousing facilities,
space for welding / painting / other jobs, and a deepwater jetty. Ezion’s marine
base will remedy this lack, and set the stage for these projects to proceed.

Expecting order flow-through. AusGroup now has a record AUD4.5bn tender
book, dwarfing the AUD0.6bn of tenders at Dec-12. The build-up of the tender
book was due to the delays of the contract awards, and we expect AusGroup to
convert about 20% of its tenders into firm contracts, providing good-margin
work for 2H13 through FY15F. Further, this week Upstream noted that Ensco
has been awarded the final Ichthys drilling contract.

25% correction overdone extremely compelling valuations. AusGroup’s
shares have come off 25% since its recent peak, and now trades at 6.9x FY13F
EPS, 1.1x P/B, with an EV/EBITDA under 3.0x (based on current price of
SGD0.50). These are extremely compelling valuations for a company growing at
20% EPS CAGR to FY15F, ROE consistently above 15%, and a strong net cash
position of SGD0.054 per share. We believe that the reaction to the poor 2Q13
results (which included one-off expenses and variation orders) is severely
overdone, and this is the time to enter. Our TP of SGD0.73 is based on 9x
blended FY13F/FY14F EPS. BUY.

STX OSV BECOMES VARD

Singapore, 5 March, 2013 – STX OSV Holdings Limited, one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of offshore and specialized vessels, is pleased to announce that the STX OSV Group of companies will adopt the new brand name VARD. The adoption of the new name, logo and brand identity follows the sale of STX Europe’s majority stake in the company to Fincantieri Oil & Gas, as previously announced on 23 January 2013.

Being derived from the Norwegian word “varde”, which refers to a small tower of stones used since ancient times as a navigation mark along the coast to guide ships, the name embodies the Company’s maritime heritage and long history in shipbuilding. It also symbolizes its ambition to lead the way in the industry, reflecting VARD’s size, position and goal to be a preferred partner for technologically advanced solutions in the global offshore support vessel market.

Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of VARD, Roy Reite, said, “I am excited to announce that VARD will be our new name. It conveys a sense of stability and strength, relevance and flexibility. More importantly, it reflects our long-standing Norwegian heritage, as well as our leading position within the offshore and specialized vessels industry globally. From the very start of the project, the objective was to find a name that is short, solid, innovative and maritime in its tone. VARD met all of these criteria.”

The new company name is currently being implemented across all the subsidiaries of the VARD Group of companies worldwide. A proposal for a new name for the Group holding company, STX OSV Holdings Limited, will formally be tabled for resolution at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in April.

STI is running on a very sustainable uptrend. Minor corrections are expected as always. Unless the economy collapse....otherwise stay invested in companies with good fundamentals and forecasts.
