Yes, in addition, the dividend given is consistently reasonable and much better than the bank.  Just need to be patient with this stock for the good news when it unlocks the actual of its asets.

Anything that may come up good for Auric should not be attributed to the new CEO who just joined the company only recently.  She is just lucky to be there after a  disappointing performance at SMRT

starlene      ( Date: 24-Dec-2012 12:29) Posted:

Ms Saw esp good at retail operations that's why all the shops set up at MRT spaces, provide good rental income for SMRT..operations part she assigned to her other " generals" becoz she not very technical, just like she was in Duty free shop all retail operations can be attributed to Ms Saw so she fits in aptly into Auric..all course head must roll due to SMRT operations and she ultimately succumb to it by resigning..what's is SMRT loss is Auric 's gains..U will now when share price soar again...she's buying at $1.088 will provide the floor support..not too late to accumulate as Auric used to be $3-4 stock like Cerebos and over so many years the share had not be diluted by bonus or rights issues ,hence at this price is still low,but historic low eill be at 40cts previously..not too late yet

Who would expect that it  can  go up to as high as 26.5 .  So don't be so pessimistic.  My gut feel is that it can go all the way to 30 cents, given the huge potential of growth in the property sector with the acquisition of the architect firm  and generous warrants with a right issue at 18 cents. Not forgetting Peter Lim's direct investment and interest in the Iskandar development projects.  So, it could also be a good long term investment for higher returns. As the downside is much lower than upside, will still invested instead.

A stock to watch as it is into chartering services of offshore oil sector.  TP is 82 by analyst in Today, but  it is rumoured that it  should have no problem hitting above $1 in 2013.  Time to accumulate while it is low.

It is surprising to note that by selling virgin at a price much below its purchase price, it is considered as a profit over the revalued current price.  Some thing not quite right about the accounting practice.... market seems to react positively to this transaction????? Yes agree.  The stock  to watch is UIC which is trading between 2.80 and 2.92 ..    good chance to move above $3 any time soon.    Not sure how is the battle between UOB Chairman and the Indonesian Tycoon for a controlling stake of UIC.... must be quietly buying up to be able to make another takeover offer of UIC at a more higher and   reasonable price than UOB's previous offer

Wheelock bought an average price of about 1.60 to 1.70... so any offer below $2.00 will be out of the question to make the investment worthwhile.  Moreover, the offer is far below the NAV

Agree some analyst cannot be trusted or lack the in depth knowledge.    Got played out once by UOB Kay Hian analyst who said sell for SAT at $2.60 but it went up on the same day and is no trading at 2,96

Rule # 1 : Don't trust too much from the analysis of the media. zhen zhen jia jia, jia jia zhen zhen (haha , conrad raj will not understand this : )

2 : If Simon Cheong is a responsible corporate CEO, he should give a BETTER offer than $1.80 / share with respect to the NAV.

Don't tell me SC Global worth $1.80, so he bid $1.80 (then might as well not bid a takeover offer ?) (he must have valued SC Global at more than $2 / share so he thinks he is getting a good deal offer @ $1,80 / share. right ?)

3. Anyone still remembers NATSTEEL saga ?

This guy MUDDY is throwing mud at Singapore.  So, we should al   stay united and don't act like those deserting shortists.  Just stay invested and dont chicken out.

Octavia      ( Date: 20-Dec-2012 13:07) Posted:

I don't think Muddy Waters is doing this for purely altruistic reasons. Neither are they a modern day Robin Hood. They're making a living out of this. This is precisely their job. But then again, this is a good wake up call for Olam and its investors. It could have been worse. If I may ask, who dare to say Olam would not have gone bust by now if Temasek haven't came in. The fact that Temasek did, and thus, the credibility of Olam has indeed become muddied.Investing should not be about hoping for some white knights arrival but about confidence in the issuer's stability without any external help.Temasek could be viewed as protecting Singapore Inc in a wider context. If SGX’s reputation is affected due to accounting & listing practice then it will affect us also since we invest in SGX.

I think it is situational judgement.  Now Temasek is speaking openly in support of Olam, the bet is for it to go up in the long run.  With second round of purchase by Temasek, I think it shoud move up again from the current level
