This one will come back again. Better watch and catch it before it moves up. It moves very fast and furious in both directions.

My last line of defence whereby I will close my positions is at 0.605 (closing price on 21/5 n 50ema).

This is just my analysis n I may be wrong, so dyodd.

Dun worry, nobody is born lousy, logically, practice makes perfect, but alas, nothing is perfect in chart analysis as it is not infallible,

tats where stop-loss is a must (plan your trade n trade your plan) n constant review of your analysis is a must.

Pull out any charts (line, candlestick, daily, weekly, monthly), cover all the candles n start from the beginning, apply your knowledge,

test your knowledge, see why u go wrong, refresh n re-read your books n see why u go wrong. But remember, at times your analysis is

correct but due to unpredictable mkt events, it can turn against u but dun go against the mkt as it is always right (Remember, the saying: "The customer is King")

Hi RichTan

I am impressed with your willingness to share your knowledge and information with others,

particularly on charting.  Did you attend some seminars/trainings or you just read from som

TA books.  All the same, you are a rare Gem.

I am lousy with chartings.

No, I never attend any seminars, to me it is a waste of money, paying huge sums whereas I can learn cheaply n achieve exactly wat will be taught at these seminars.

If u are really keen to learn, I had made quite a few postings recommending some good trading books n "Free Tutorial on TA", dun mind do a search under my username, richtan.

Of course TA is not infallible but at least we have a guide n we need to constantly review n re-adjust our analysis daily.

We need knowledge to make informed decisions rather than worrying n getting emotional n panicky.

To enter into any trades, we need to learn the ropes of the trade.

I believe for those with holding power n who are now incurring losses but can stomach losses till it confirmed end of day it closes below 15 cts, should stay calm for the time being n cut losses tomoro if it closes below 15 cts today.

To be successful in trading, remember trading should be mechanical, act according to your chart interpretation n not emotional.

This is only my opinion, not an inducement to buy or sell, dyodd.

I have included all the 3 emas (25ema, 50ema n 200ema) for a clearer picture.

The 25ema had cut above the 50ema n both are trending up, soon both the 25ema n 50ema will also cut above the gradually flattening 200ema which will then turn up to form the bullish golden cross (50ema n 200ema).

The DOW should still be bullish as both the 25ema n 50ema is still trending up n hopefully soon formed a golden cross with the gradually flattening 200ema which is likely to subsequently also turn up.

The DOW daily chart with 25ema shows tat the 25ema had been providing very strong support, bouncing it for about 6 times, will it again bounce as it again touched the support, failing which it will probably test support as per my earlier posting below, ie 8400 at the 50ema.

The 8 months DOW charts shows more clearly the support at 8600 followed by 8400 which is the 50ema.

richtan      ( Date: 15-Jun-2009 22:57) Posted:

DOW looks like hit resisitance at 200ema n correcting to the 50ema n support at about 8500,.

The 50ema is still trending up n probably, DOW will bounce up upon hitting the 8500 support n 25ema as the the down-sloping 200ema is gradually flattening n will probably subsequently turn up n both 50ema n 200ema will then cross n trend up to form the bullish "golden cross".

This is just my analysis n I may be wrong, so dyodd.

All mkt sentiments, greed, fear, emotions are captured in the charts.

A picture tells a thousand words, learn TA n let the charts "talk" to u, understand wat it is trying to "talk" to u.

I shall not elaborate further, if u are seriously keen to know more, see my earlier posting on my recommended books n websites n read up n fully understand it, rather than talk ignorantly like "a frog in a well".

No hard feelings, as I may sound harsh n sarcastic but it is "all for your own good".

slingesh      ( Date: 15-Jun-2009 16:32) Posted:

We cannot base our prediction an just our charts without having some considerations for the market sentiment as a whole, right.

This is a lively discussion, but please keep the personal emotions out. The anxieties we have from watching the roller-coaster ride in the markets is quite exciting as it is.

Good luck. mechanical or not.

Hahaha...  Smiley   Smiley Smiley then, u must be the greatest trader in history n in future, immortalise as "The legendary trader tat never loss a single cent" or it is still early days yet, so dun talk big too early.

Mind u, even Warren Buffet, Saudi prince, Oei Hong Leong, GIC n Temasek, with the cream of the crop, top traders paid "top dollars" still can make losses, so I think GIC n Temasek need such a talented guy/gal like u., a precious resource.

There is no need to taunt me, as it does not hurt my pockets.

I m here to share out of my sincerity as I believe in giving back wat I had receievd from this forum n also in the process, accumulating good karma for myself.

Mind u, taunting "kind-hearted people who sincerely shares" will accumulate yourself bad karma.

Frankly, how would u feel, if u do a good deed tat is not appreciated n yet get taunted.

Confucius once said "Do do onto others, wat u dun want others to do onto u"

Despite your taunting, I m kind enuf to advice u tat if u really want to succeed in trading, do a search under my username, richtan as I had recomended some good trading books, "Free Tutorial on TA" websites.

I m kind enuf, to search n paste below  despite your taunting, hope u sincerely appreciate my kindness & stop insulting me.

:) hahaha... newtothis, was watching bloomberg tv last week, one of the financial guru said chartist mostly are wrong. so you could be right too!

no need to say too much because you will be termed as *emotional/new horn/never study charts/never do TA/nothing to back up what you are saying (*delete where appropriate)

how about this scenario:

people who has earned a lot since the rally from 5 cents, kept accumulating for the last 3 weeks to create a false sense that people are "silently accumulating" so that more people will be interested in the stock, hoping to push up the price even further before dumping them. however, right not many people are biting, and these big earners decided to let go once and for all, since they have already earned enough from 5 cents until now.

There is nothing  "to be shocked", as I said, I trade mechanically not MFT n emotional, I dun fall in love with any particular stock, will sell tomoro if today close below 15 cts, as simple as tat, whether in profit or losses, though I m still in profit as I had accumulated around 7 cts when it rebounded from the low of 0.055.

Of course, there will be poor people as not everybody reads or bother to read charts n there are those obstinate n keep debasing TA n those who speculate base on emotions n even those who read charts but still not polished TA trader tat try to pre-empt the chart by "act smart"

Finally, let me again quote from this book "Technical Analysis of the Futures Mkts" - pg xvii - "TA is much more than tea leaf reading" or "crystal ball gazing," descriptions sometimes used by those who simply dun know any better. But neither is it the "Holy Grail", promising instant riches to its practitioners. TA is simply one approach to mkt forecasting based on a study of the past, human psychology n the law of probabilities. It is certainly not infallible. But it is a technique tat works more often than not, but stood the test of time in the real world of trading n is worthy of study by any serious student of mkt behaviour".

As I said, I dun care wat MFT or BB predict, I just trade based on my chart analysis, TA has been around for donkey years, though it is never 100% always right, it serves as a compass n is an essential tool to a trader just as a compass or satellite navigation tool is an essential tool to a sailor n pilot.
