u onli hav 5 lots but u sold at 26.5 , u cant breakeven becos u got yrs thru placement, so brokerage fees for broker plus u sell online costs I think u still lose about 20-30 bucks

susan66      ( Date: 31-Jan-2010 01:54) Posted:

No choice, sold 0.265 just breakeven. On the first day, wanted to sell but queue too high at 0.30, should have queue lower, some of my friends managed to sell at 0.29. Actually that day close low should sell first. After that never go up anymore. Since market sentiment is poor, quickly sell to get back my money first in case drop like China Gaoxian, hold more than 3 months never come back to IPO price.

Ipo price is fixed at 42 cts.

Any views on the likely opening price for this ipo under current bearish market sentiment?

you are wrong.

If yingli 1.15, yanlord will be above $3, likely $3.30-3.50 range.

few mths back yingli was 90 cts highest  but yanlord at $2.89.

Me currently sold both oredi but now thinking should buy big back in currently  or not??

yummygd      ( Date: 29-Jan-2010 16:17) Posted:

Yanlord too many people looking and interested.I like stock that have potential and still relatively quiet. If so many people like Yanlord den very fast go up very fast go down..someone said by time yanlord get to 2.30 yinglin only 1.15 but ya its the same wat....now ying li at 0.51 and go up also double.Yanlord need alot of money to put in just to gain double. limited funds so cant afford ex stock.beside have been tracking Ying Li since last year so i think loyalty plays a part dun not wise.

btw, do u know roughly when they will give out the next dividends??

acercreative      ( Date: 28-Jan-2010 23:52) Posted:

not only that, it is 1 of the rare s-chip to give out decent dividend. it gave out 0.66c as an interim dividend. hopefully, it can give out another 0.66c to bring full year dividend 1.32c, almost 7% yield + potential for capital appreciation.

40 cts , that's more than 100% price upside from current price.

Altho brokerages's price targets for stocks are for casual reference only, but nowadays it's VERY rare to see a brokergae gav a 100% price upside for a counter.

Anyone wanna have a rough guess on its share price in 1 yr's time.

It's FA looks good compared to other s-chips

I saw it could not take out 1.80 just now, so I took profit at $1.78 & switch to/monitor other counters

Ok, you are right. I'm just the same as the majority of people that play shares, nothing special.

Coming back to Yanlord.

At the current price of $1.73. What is your opinion? Buy or Short?

walau u, what u just said below is so common sense every one that play shares will know. Of course the final decison of what stock we intend to buy or short ultimaately is our own decison. But often we also like to hear the various differing views of other people/brokerages to know what they view a certain stock.or market direction but they doesn't mean they will influence us 100% in our stock picking decisions. We can other such views as casual reference only.

The fact that u later on admitted u started buying from Dec08(market still high at Dec to Jan 2009) oredi proves u are the same as the VAST majority of people that play shares, nothing special. Becos Like I said only those 1% super-fantastic zhun people will only buy at one full shot in March 09(perhaps they don't even exist at all)

alexchia01      ( Date: 28-Jan-2010 14:05) Posted:

You are right. Any Tom, Dick and Harry can make money in 2009. Even a monkey can make money in 2009.

The question is how much money did you made in 2009?

FYI, I was accumulating DBS between Dec 2008 to Mar 2009, I even participate in their stock option.

Why I did not post here?

Well, I only discover this forum early this month, was not here then.

Anyway, coming back to my first post.

My point was don't buy a stock based on personal opinion or hear-say. Do your own analysis, technical and fundamental, and make your decision based on those analysis.

In 2009, even stupid gongkias also can make lots of money in shares provided they stay invested  throughout the entire 2009.

My point is 99% of people that made money last yr they only started buying heavily from April to June. And NOT in the 2nd week of March 09.

If u say u bought heavily into banks in the 2nd to 3rd week of March 09, u had obviously lied. Becos if u belong to the 1% so zhun to catch the absolute bottom, u won't be posting in forums oredi.

You are crazy! Smiley

You used the phrase wetting our pants to describe nervous investors is inappropriate lah, haha.

A more appropriate phrase to describe vested people during Market Crash would be Having sleepless nights

ah_seng1001      ( Date: 28-Jan-2010 01:24) Posted:

I absolutely agree with wat u said bro! u have my support :) even my fren who is a big player who plays by few hundreds lots per trade only started buying heavily in april.. as april showed signs of a key pivotal reversal.. first second week of april was still panic.. at that point, u would already have been wetting ur pants not knowing whether STI could hit 1300 or 1200.. maybe those who bought in were really lucky.. or taking a quick shot..

ultimate fact is no one can time the market with such precision.. if we can accumulate near the bottom is pretty good enough lol.. if u really had a way of doing so, u would be hush hush abt it..

Cheers.

Ha ha. I think your ex-broker has lied to you about his experience in the stock market.

2009 has been one of my best year ever, I made a quite of lot of money from the banking and Oil & Gas sector.

There are some very good brokers and remisers, but many are just as blur as any amateur out there.

They just follows what other people are doing and have no idea what they are doing.

Mind you that they make money through commission from your trade. They just want you to trade so that they can earn a commission. They don't really care if you make money or not.

Anyway, I don't rely on broker to tell me what to buy or sell.

I do my own analysis, technical and fundamental, and make my own call. 7 out of 10 time, I'm accurate.

Remember, Nobody cares about your money like you do.

by the time u can tell clearly the selling has ended, Yanlord will oredi have rebounded to way, way above yesterday's low.

Just like I got 1 ex-broker from uob, he said in Early April 2009 from all his many years of experience, he cautioned it's still too early to tell whether Bank shares have indeed bottomed or not in early March 2009, he say maybe likely to break below march lows soon, by the time he said yes Banks shares have bottomed , it was in late-May, & bank shares had oredi risen soooooo much from their March-lows

During March 2009, many analysts said & my friend's brokers also said STI 1455 is NOT the bottom, they kept saying from the charts,.elliot waves etc blah, blah , they unanimously said STI is guaranteed to fall to 1315-1300 then will bottom.
