a 'surely will do this/that' is difficult to say, giantlow. i maintain the same thing i said last week/week before. it must break 4.50 to have a chance of going higher.

chinkiasu's post on buy up sell down is troubling tho. appears to be still institutional sell and retail buy; tho i don't have the breakdown so can't say for sure. singaporegal???

em. giantlow. when you buy a stock, it's a gamble already. a warrant is a gamble on a gamble.

you don't have to triple jeopardy and buy warrants on a CFD, really.... unless you're _that_ wealthy/heck care....

just a thought...

nono, you see. girls will initiate relationships. a woman, however, will never initiate one. they'll let the guy think he initiated it.

muahhahaa. :P

hehe, giantlow, you might need to increase your understanding of women. :P

ya see, quite a lot would consider that (looking and verbal flirting) as a 'betrayal' already. esp if she happens to be clinging to your arm, and you get whiplash when a really hot babe walks past. haha.

expect to have to give jewelry/roses/whatever and prostrate yourself then for forgiveness.

haha. and eh. not cheating 'cos you don't want to be cheated on is reactive, isn't it? :P

hm. giantlow, 11k loss isn't that big really....your warrants will start to fly if SPC can cross 4.50. that's the psych barrier.

eeehhhhh....don't sabo....if bears come back, almost everyone here will pengsan man.....

on another note, i don't think the bears are here so soon. you still have til budget day and end of earnings seasons to play; feel good factor here. from then on it depends on the budget day message.

if STI can hit 3,400, it's sustainable on own momentum so that any correction will likely be minor (down to 3,000 rather than 2,400). victorian was right, watch the shares of the brokerage houses as proxy gauges of sentiment.

to have a headstart financially definitely makes a lot of difference--it literally buys you freedom. you can pursue careers you like, afford luxuries etc.

if the next generation has to bear additional burdens....haha. we catch up by running twice as fast, aiming twice as far, working twice as hard and doing whatever it takes to leave the competition in the dust.

admittedly there are some so wealthy you can't catch up, but--as i know rogue_trader will agree with me on this--i'll be damned if i don't at least give it a shot.

better said by bon jovi really. "you live for the fight when it's all that you've got."

or as TS Eliot said in The Wasteland: "I will show you fear in a handful of dust."

translates as 'to buy or sell'?

note for TA ppl out there. this stock is rather heavily manipulated; so your indicators will not work accurately for it.

mm, i don't think it matters if it's a big bear or a small bear or whatever, the only thing that matters is that you don't get caught by the bear.

act i think there are more male forumers here. altho when it comes to investing, really, gender doesn't matter at all. just that for addressing ppl in forums, it's polite to call others appropriately. haha.

nope, think bunnie said her trades doing fine recently. tho my guess is more because of general recent rally rather than fundamental support....

how can you trust what you cannot test? haha. ok lah, lets not make life difficult. markets start tomorrow. time to play on. eyeing a couple of counters in light of changing market tone.

yeah, but i think the feminine instinct is always to love others more. or else it's something ingrained by society. where's singaporegal...would like to hear her opinions leh...what do men love then?

hehe, yes geojam, bunbun is female. her tone of writing is definitely so.

well, like how i thought tabbykat was female. until the tongkat ali posts, that is. o_0

wonder who else i'm mistaking.....haha.

hm, yea actually. a qn here:

the blues appear to have started their run again, without the anticipated correction period first. ie, no retreat of pennies, whole market down. What's this supposed to mean? Pennies next up still?

yep, but for beginners and even old-hands, must always be cautious. rather a live chicken than a dead tiger. haha. :P

ipunter, would like your opinion on another counter actually: osim.

worth a quick play? market overreacted to it on thurs. so logic follows that there'll be a small rebound. candlesticks and rsi up (incidentally, rsi is the most accurate indicator of this counter on backtests), but A/D and C/O very down. do post there if you have time, thanks!

yah, absolutely agree (and i'm sure a few eyebrows will be raised at this thread :P ): dunno, but my sense is that women are more genuine and will give more completely, whether it's friendship, maternal, or whatever.

which is why they're always exploited on certain levels by men, perhaps. and why i asked abt guys believing in true love earlier...'cos if you'd only know the no: of guys who approach me while their partners are in the other room/out of sight praising their 'better halves', then, heh, sorry to be misanthropic, but my intuition tells me that any guy will stray (for love or whatever cooked up reason)...and the only reason why they didn't is 'cos i said no, and not the other way around.

so women....be careful yea....remember after all that all fairy tales were written by men!

haha. and geez, who am i to postulate on this eternal subject. haha.

unhygenic?! eemmmm......

keke, to extend the metaphor, we could also add here that bigtime pinball players also shake/bang/rattle the machines at times to shift the game ever so slightly to their favour. so smaller guys beside them have got to watch out to avoid getting bruised man...

sigh. i'm playing kinda aggressively now i know, 'cos i need to build up capital, but in the future when my funds are more consolidated, i'd so not be taking riskier risks man. pinball players are experts in their field; longterm i know i don't have the personality to sustain that kind of momentum.

last week was guessing a trend reversal to positive, that's confirmed this week, but appears to have some weakness. some selling off these last few days: your c/o and a/d have actually dropped for the last 3-4 days, tho from mid jan onward it's a rise.

are you contra-ing or longer term? if the latter, wait and see first.

aiyah. no sense regretting. the one that got away is always bigger. focus on what is real. ie, the actual profit/loss in your hands, and what you are going into next.

after all, for every one that you missed/exited too early, there's one that you ran right from.

to be honest, stable and sweet are the kind of stocks i'd prefer. not rollercoaster rush up to the heavens, which yea, gives a huge adrenaline rush and fast profits, but to me, are realistically unsustainable and require so much more care and speed (to cut loss fast) when trading.

never liked volatile stocks...
