Stratech Awarded Shipmast Height Detection System Contract by MPA

Singapore, 5 January 2010
– Singapore Exchange Mainboard-listed Stratech Systems Limited (“Stratech” or “the Group”) today announced that it has been awarded a S$1.16 million contract by the Maritime and Port Authority (MPA) of Singapore to design, implement and maintain the next-generation Shipmast Height Detection System (SHDS).

The ability to provide vessel or shipmast height detection is crucial for waterways that require minimum height clearance. The new SHDS is designed to monitor in real-time the height of marine vessels passing through the waterway at Sentosa Island, which could pose a threat to the safety of Sentosa’s cable car operations. The system will detect and alarm MPA personnel upon any violation, thereby ensuring that MPA’s ship height regulations are adhered to.

Based on laser technology and intelligent vision for visual verification, the new SHDS will replace the existing system also deployed by Stratech.

Dr. David K.M. Chew, Executive Chairman of Stratech, said: "Over the years, Stratech has evolved to become a major player in maritime safety and surveillance with our Vessel Identification and Positioning System (VIPS®) for vessel identification, our Vessel Height Surveillance System (VHSS™) for the monitoring of flight paths over water and now two generations of the Shipmast Height Detection System.”

“Minimum height clearance is also crucial to the safety of bridges built over water,” Dr. Chew added. “We are in discussions in several countries and one of the UK’s leading consultancies in the provision of planning, design and management services for infrastructure development worldwide has specified our Vessel Height Surveillance System for the proposed new Thames Gateway Bridge to be built in London.”

market is always changing. remember all TP accompany BOSAYOR = Buy Or Sell At your Own Risk.

The TP is reasonable to me. However it seems right now need more time and some good quarter reports.

1) Lim's family release the Bond Holder news that seriously cripple the upside of Genting. A lot of players are hurt even Big Boys suffer huge losses.

Please this is a public forum to share and its up to individual to do some thinking. If u expect it to be updated please call your broker "I hope your broker knows the market".

The worst is over for genting. thats pretty sure. Those who have hold and manage to get some more stocks will get their rewards down their road. We assume everything runs smoothly "No Major hipcups"

In 6 months time Genting will publish some Rosy FR reports. :) Remember Stock market run 6 months ahead of economy. If you understand what I mean do what you think its right.

Remember BOSAYOR. No One can Guarantee YOU

Hi,

agree with newbab, maybe it is not a call. but risktaker are too confident that he keep asking us to have faith and everything will be fine. and keep emphasize, cao cao , you are playing with fire etc. will let you see zhugeliang power etc. and said his surbordinate cant handle the sell down, and he had to handle.. he sound so confident he will win the game.. Frankly, we trust him too much with his 3 kingdoms. Lucky i run before my genting drop to my cost price when i realized he seem talking rubbish. Now genting may be up, because the bondholder or those want to sell had sold most off. the impact somehow will be done soon. Anyway risktaker really mislead ppl he really can handle the situation that time. Done is done, we had learnt a very gd lesson. Hold it and sell off soon when it breakeven or wait another 1 -2 mth.. once mbs open, i believe genting will drop somehow...

Listing requirements are different now. Previously

SGX need at least 3 preceeding years of profit before

companies are allowed to be listed. Now this requirement

is no more. So much so, plenty of  China S-Chips are listed

here. Those good companies are listed in China and Hong Kong.

Trade with care.

Cutting loss is a good protection strategy, but this is a very hard discipline to follow.  As a share investor our dependency for the safety of our money lies with the authorities beyond the win and lose in trading.  The regulatory part is beyond our control.  In company failures resulting from "misdemeanour", I think SGX authorities need some concepts of resonsibilities put in place. In some countries they have the insurance to take care of unnatural losses like result of foul management of the companies and finances.

If you set a cut loss nos, take it with a pinch of salt.

e.g.ppl who bought genting at $1.25 - $1.30. If their

cut loss is 5 - 10%, they can buy cheaper now.I have learnt

my lesson before. You don't have to wait until your neck

long long for it to go up. The mkt is always there for you

to fight another day. Just wait for apportunity. At least you

can sleep in peace.

matrixneo      ( Date: 23-Feb-2010 10:16) Posted:

be careful...I advise not to do that...Just to give you an example when I first started out 'trading'....just follow friends...My Chartered Semi bought at 4.78...within 1 yr dropped to 1+...then followed by penny stock...then bought over by overseas company...and now...GONE!....Even such a big blue chip company can disappear from the market...so not all giants are spared...trade with a cut loss mindset..play with head not heart.

hotokee      ( Date: 23-Feb-2010 10:05) Posted:

I don't know how to cut loss.  So usually stuck until they play it up again in most stocks.  But some stocks never recover so waiting long time already
