Yeah, i would think so .  :)

Even if Singaporeans not allowed to go Casinos in singaproe, not much impact, cos,  only 5 million plus  singaporeans vs the whole world..........hahaha!

I believe that analyst who reported in the chinese news paper today, its just to make use of situation to write the report with its tp 1.02.

 

P/s -hope $3 could come true.

Ha ha, smart invester. Today Zaobao stated one MFT coy fixed d TP at 1.01 reasoning that Garment dun want to create Spore as gambling centre, though didn't state wat action expected Garment will do. Hope your dream comes true soon. Dun miss other stocks, if thinking they can also make profit everyday. Cheers.

What kind of  Steps will our Garment take:

1st possibility -  Increase the  Gambling Tax, Gaming industry will have to perhaps, double its tax payable

2nd possibility (though unlikely)  -  Increase Levy to $200 per entry and annual $4000 per pax

3rd possibility (very likely)  -   All Singaporeans cannot enter Casinos in Singapore..

 

The above might never comes thru........lol!

The only worry for the banks is :

Too many people are willing to part their money in the  2  Casinos of  Singapore.!!!

Banks wont die like that,  they are coming out more Personal loans,  not necessasry must only focus on Housing Loans,

Perhaps, I thnk they will have cheaper  interest rate and easier to get loan,  like that,   Loan Shark will die jia lat!!

P/s - It has been guessing ?   Still dares to shout so loudly?

When the analyst does its analysis of each company, does he just base on the company 'written financial report' only and has he also taken into accounts of its nature of business, its prospect , its attraction,  people's culture, the sentiment of the stock. or simply by GUESSing?  ................. 

Gentnig is a  NEWLY SET UP Casino / INtegrated resort in Singapore, and it is the first of the kind in Singapore and if an analyst just simply do so by juding the 'book' to write the report, no wonder they have to change their price target  76 TIMES!!!

I dont know if its true that, people lost 1 billion in one day, (few of them) and each could turn out to be $250 millions!!   The loss of that business man of 26 million looks like chicken feet.

No one really knows actual size of Singapore’s casino gaming market, judging from 49 target price upgrades by analysts for Genting Singapore (G13.SG) as of last Thursday over past year, says Nomura, according to Dow Jones.

Nomura notes total of 76 changes have been made to target prices, including 27 downgrades over same period: “The guessing game continues with consensus price targets going as high as to imply it is worth more than the three Singapore banks and larger than the combined market caps of all the Macau-listed names.”

Nomura says frequency of upgrades shows there are lots of novelty factors at play, could take a year for euphoria to die down; “by extrapolating the street’s frequency and quantum of upgrades, the implied price target for Genting Singapore could possibly hit $10 soon.”

But sticks to its Reduce call, $1.01 target, based on average of 12x EV/EBITDA fetched by Macau operators. Shares off 1.0% at $1.97.

Does this move benefit retailers?

This move can only benefit the SGX, (they get theh commission)  but as far as retailers are concerned, not much different.

I would analyse in 'physique theory' :

Stepping into Casino is physical

buying/selling shares in stock market is non-physical

Casino seems to be the only attraction right now.

Friends used to talk about what nice car , where to dine, where to travel to....but, now, it seems all the $$$$  are put on the gambling table at casino instead of buying luxury stuff. 

 Government is quick   to remove the FREE bus services  to Casinos.    The rests (free buses to RWS can be talked later).

The decisiveness is what a leader should possess, right time, right place.
