Totally disagree. 1 lot 1 lot at a time will definitely

and can never influence sentiment. e.g. this am trading,

the share vol. is very low. Who can be bother by the 1 lotter.

Heavy buying/selling  in very large quantities can influence

share px. and mkt sentiment. This is my opinion

KannaSze      ( Date: 19-Mar-2010 12:18) Posted:

Sometimes, this is done by computers.  Ever seen a lot of counters flip at the same time?  Of course competitors can also respond but they have to do it strategically (timing is important).  This works very well when volume is not big.  Currently you can see Jardine C&C is a target for the bull to push up the index.  For what?  of course to influence people to buy.

KannaSze      ( Date: 19-Mar-2010 12:13) Posted:

one lot one lot is to influence sentiment only; this flip the latest transaction on the screen

In my opinion, I don't see how the 1 lotter can

influence the share px.To buy/sell 1 lot at a time,

100 lot will probably take you the whole trading

day. It's the BBs that only can influence the share px

not the small flies. I will only be alerted when it is 6 or

7 figures, haha

yummygd      ( Date: 19-Mar-2010 09:52) Posted:

theres a group that wanna buy low and one group that wanna sell high. two groups of one lotter. one sell down one sell up... too bad am going out today or it will be funny to see who cave first haha Yesterday due to the persistance of the sell down one lotter who is trying to buy low. thats why price fell so low. if not think it would not fall so much

position so that I can sleep well. Not for mid or long

term investment for the time being until Genting Sp

Genting Sp forecast of US$1 billion (S$1.4 billion)

in revenue from the gaming within a year. The question

is, CAN IT BE ACHIEVED.You will definitely make a

details studies (rope in many many professionals) before you

make forecasts. Give it a thought.

From ST interview Pg A8 of Wed 17 March 2010.

Ronald Tan(Casino Expert) said that he did not forsee Genting or Sands exceeding their forcast of US$1 billion each in revenue fromthe gaming within a yr. This may not cover the sky-high building costs of both IRs, which took place amid construction boom that saw escalating sand and manpower prices. The total bill for both : over $13 billion.

He said "Don't assume for a moment that once you land a casino, you will make money. It's a question of averages. Half the casinos around the world are in the red. Within the next 3 yrs, the other attractions -- theme park and hotels -- will likely not make up for the shortfall." He holds out little hope for Universal Studios, once the novelty wears off after one year. The majority of Universal's attractions are outdoors, which means people have to line under hot sun. Even HK, a temperate country cannot succeed with Disneyland with huge China hinterland. HK's Ocean Park is more successful bcos its initial investment started from a very low base. Our cost of doing business here is now very worrying. The silver lining is for it to be like turf club or Fraser and Ascott brands of Service Apartment with their policies and regulatory aspects. We can become PSA and HDB in Casinos.
