This time I buy for potential sectoral growth prospect and its hidden super discount intrinsic value and better management team!

Hippocrates      ( Date: 10-Sep-2010 01:24) Posted:

Hi Hulumas,

What your rational of choosing China Sky over Li Heng?  I used to own both two stocks but sold China Sky eventually because it was badly hit by the crisis; while Li Heng managed to stay afloat while continuing its expansion plans.  The fact that Li Heng started building the polyamide plant and focused on organic growth also showed the vision of the management.

Sure, China Sky is slightly cheaper, but it's not much cheaper as a loss making company last year.  I believe that Li Heng's business will bounce back faster than China Sky when the market recovers.  Besides, few years ago before the crisis, when I did a research and found that Li Heng's products (can't remember it's HOY or DTY) are generally sold at a higher price than the similarly grade products from China Sky.

Would like to listen to your comments, although I'm unlikely to invest further in any textile company... but just for knowledge and the fun of it. :)

The only snag in the GST system is the refunding of the taxes to both companies and social visitors who come to shop in Singapore.

For those in business, you will understand what I mean.   If you are a GST registered company, what you paid as GST can be claimed back against what you charged for GST. (Cancelling of input and output taxes as IRAS will explain if you wish to learn more.) Thus businesses are not much affected. Your firm pays 7% GST (output)for the goods you procure, and you charge your customers 7% GST (input) for the goods you sell.   If output GST is $1000 and input GST is $1200, you pay effectively $200.   On the other hand, if output is $1000 and the input GST is $800, you could claim back $200 in cash.   So you see, businesses are not affected.

For the consumers, it is 100 per cent out from their pockets, unless you are the social visitors or foreigners coming in for short stay, you could claim back everything you paid as GST if the GST add up to $50 and above.   So this is the discontent Singaporeans are feeling. The bulk of GST paid to the treasury actually comes from Singaporeans.

This is the hard truth, check it out for yourself and work out the mathematics to see for yourselves.   Cheers.

The Capital group has announced on 03/05/11 it had offloaded 36,811 lots over the past few weeks (or months). No wonder the share price keep kenna depressed.

Looking at the Insider Trades, so many big players have offloaded shares. Maybe the slide below 1.70 is the work of Capital group again.

Will CMA ever recover back?

I said STI " MAY" rebound today, there is no 100% sure win prediction one lah.

The reason why I said that is that 65% of the 30 Top Active Counters and STI components have Huge Buy Up in the last Hour.

Usually when this happened, the following day would be an Up Day. Of course this is not 100% accurate, but at least I didn't anyhow guess.

I'm not confused, just wrong this time round. I'm much more clear minded than you think.

Gaecia      ( Date: 06-May-2011 16:27) Posted:

Well.. you said last night today most likely will see a technical rebound on STI.

Okay lah, i'll  think the reverse then  that next wk  will  see a  dead cat bounce performance  timed with  earnings.

Smiley 1  You all are very confused right

there are  so few  1st World  tourists at MBS  ? ? ? ?

Singapore cannot attract  1st World tourists ?  ? ? ?

The 1st Classs citizens of 1st World still do not come to Singapore ? ? ? ?

Those who come to Singapore are probably 3rd Class citizens from 1st World ? ? ? ?

They come here because of  their jobs and  not  for  leisure  ? ? ? ?

Over the past 52 years, how many 1st World leaders came to Singapore  for  personal and family holidays and vacations, by CHOICE  ? ? ? ?

Those who came are because of FREE Travel paid by their employer or government ? ? ? ?

You re propagandists?
