Cosco Corporation (Singapore) Limited - Sets up strategic development committee -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tan Jin San, 23 Jul 2009

Cosco Corp says it has established a Strategic Development Committee (SDC) today. The SDC will assist the board of directors in developing the company’s long and short-term strategic goals. Cosco said the main criteria in appointing the committee members were the experience of the directors within the company and their other appointments outside the company. The committee’s chairman is Cosco president Jiang Lijun. Its members include non-executive directors Li Jian Hong, Dr. Wang Kai Yuen, Tom Yee Lat Shing, Er Kwong Wah and Ang Swee Tian.

Today Dow cheong. Hope cheong more than 200 to 300pt. If not no impact to STI.

Today STI cheong liao, if tonight DOW cheong only until 100 something pts, i don't see any good impact.

Now the cases seems like STI up first than Dow. So tomorrow STI may not cheong, unless DOW excel tonight

Many thanks for your reply and views. $1 is your target price? not by analysts right? But $1 is a ong way to go, the 52 wk high was only 68.5, if there is rumours about the take over, sure will keep to tide over this period of time. but not sure when, therefore can't be holding on too long as it's a loss making company though it's performance is improving. Anyway, thanks again for sharing your views

Today is a PENNY Stock day. Lots of penny stock up. Not good time to buy, some other day than buy again.

Anyway Epure 2 Qtr come around mid Aug, still got time.....

Hope still got opportunity to pick it up at good price. A good stock.

0718 GMT [Dow Jones] Genting Singapore (G13.SG) heads higher, currently among biggest blue chip risers as hopes build for new casino; shares +4.5% at S$0.805 vs STI +0.9%. Stock has had decent run recently with execution risks for gaming company's integrated resort on Singapore's Sentosa island subsiding as early 2010 open approaches with no hiccups. "There's no specific catalyst for today's rise that I can think of, but excitement does seem to be building about the integrated resorts again after the recent better news on the economy," says trader at local house. And while STI reached new year-to-date high this week, Genting remains below year-to-date high of S$0.91, hit in May just before controlling shareholder sold 9% stake, which sent the shares tumbling; investors could be eyeing stock as laggard play. Traded volume solid with 125 million shares traded vs 50-day average of 94 million; order book quotes suggest near-term resistance at S$0.815 with next resistance at year-to-date highest close of S$0.885 hit May 25. CapitaCommercial Trust: Outperform (Daiwa Research, 22 July)
CCT’s better-than-expected performance was driven by robust gross-revenue growth (4.4% above our estimate). The properties that outperformed our estimate included Six Battery Road, Starhub Centre and Robinson Point. The overall occupancy rate of 96.2% was marginally lower than the 96.7% for 1Q FY09. CCT has renewed or signed new leases for 139,380 sq ft (4.1% of the portfolio's net-lettable area for May and June), and about 475,000 sq ft for 1H09, with a weighted rental reversion of 45% above previous rentals. We have revised up our DPU forecasts by 1.6% for FY09, 1.7% for FY10, and 2.7% for FY11 after adjusting up our net-property income (NPI) assumptions modestly. We still forecast CCT’s occupancy rate to drop to 90% by FY11. We forecast broad office rentals to decline by 47% for FY09, 30% for FY10, and 20% for FY11 (or a 70% decline from the FY08 level), slightly higher than our previous forecasts. We maintain our Outperform rating for CCT and believe Singapore real estate investment trusts in the office sector offer decent value relative to other segments. We believe a further stabilisation in spot rents and an improvement in occupancy rates could trigger outperformance.

KepLand's 2Q09 results were within expectations. It posted a 10.4% year-on-year (yoy) rise (+57.7% qtr-on-qtr) in 2Q09 PATMI to S$58.2m, chiefly due to a 68.3% yoy (+60.6% qoq) surge in contribution from solid sales of local and foreign residential projects as well as progressive recognition of projects such as Marina Bay Residences, Reflections and Sixth Avenue Residences. Helped by K-REIT’s improved profits, higher renewal rates from Ocean Towers and Equity Plaza, PATMI from Property Investment jumped 33.2% yoy (+4.3% qoq). Looking overseas, over 1,440 homes were sold in China in 1H09 for the Central Park City and The Botanica developments. We believe the strong take-up for these two township projects should inject optimism into KepLand's recent 55% stake in a 36.8 ha site within Tianjin Eco-City. Equipped with 2.97m sqm of saleable area, which spans a good blend of affordable township projects and mid-high end properties, KepLand should continue to benefit from China's improving property sector and rising urbanization. The recent rights issue has improved its net gearing to 0.23x, making it the best-capitalized blue-chip developer. We maintain our BUY rating on KepLand with a target price of S$2.98, pegged at parity to base case end-FY10 RNAV.
