pretty good contra punt on Sino up 10c today..

Just read The Edge article on Sinograndness, looks very promising and CEO stated that he has not

pledged his shares to allow shorting and another confidence booster is that Asdew, another SSH has

acquired more stake in Sino in the recent slide affected by the CMZ-scare.

Also in the report it stated that Sino is preparing for a $1 b IPO of garden fresh. Looking very

positive at this juncture

Added some positions in Sino.

Gd luck dyodd

Big names and big funds are in this, heavily supported..

Even though Rex International has only an operating track record of two years and has yet to generate revenue, pre-IPO investors were so convinced by its story that they extended convertible loans of S$35.2 million to fully fund its first two years of drilling operations in the US.

These investors include Tan Fuh Gih (tycoon Tan Kim Seng?s younger brother), Kingston Kwek (tycoon Kwek Leng Beng?s son), Tan Chin Hwee (partner of leading alternative fund management group Apollo) and 2G Capital chairman Tommie Goh (founder of JIT).

Schroders, Pareto Growth Fund, Staur Private Equity, Holberg Funds and Clements Capital are also vested in the company.

from $1 to $0.7 that's a 30% loss..wow and i can't imagine a DBS analyst recommending to

buy the stock at that high price..

Yoma's PE is still high..

u have watched tokyo drift? this one likely to drift lower..

Agree with you, overvalued. My  most optimistic  TP for this is merely 56cents. The presses have been reporting about " great opportunities" in Myanmar, economic risks that are highly possible have been downplayed. If it is fast enough, we can expect to see problems surfacing  in Myanmar's economy as soon as next June. You can easily verify  the risk that  I claimed  from Googling. Some advices when trading with Myanmar related  stocks:

1) Avoid hinging decision on the recommendation of one analyst. Get a bigger picture from different analysts.

2) Do valuation with realistic growth rate and discount rate.

3) Always diversify portfolio and limit the weightage of such risky counter.

To the others who are still bullish about this counter,  stay true to your view please. Who knows? Maybe it might just hit 90.5 cents just like DBS said.

i never liked the hype surrounding Myanmar, deals can still fall through.. if u continue to believe & focus on  the hype and not see the fundamental figures behind the stock then gd luck to those who buy into this 67x PE stock..
Yoma's Q1 net profit tumbles 80.6%

YOMA Strategic Holdings Ltd posted a net profit of S$420,000 for the first quarter ended June 30, 2013, an 80.6 per cent plunge from a net profit of S$2.2 million a year ago.

This was due to higher administrative and operating expenses as a result of an increase in headcount and staff costs.

Revenue rose 11.6 per cent from a year ago to S$15.2 million.

This was driven by sales of residences and Land Development Rights (LDR) which contributed S$14.4 million or 94.4 per cent of the total revenue during the quarter.

Get out while you still can..

The fabulously entertaining Zero Hedge website keeps running the charts showing that the evolution of bond yields and equity markets this year resembles closely what happened in 1987 (see below). Now we should all take these comparisons with a pinch of salt, but what if?

[12]

I remember the 1987 crash well. I was working at Bank America Investment Management as an economist/strategist at the time. Of course, the immediate trigger for the equity crash was the fear of US recession caused by the fear that the US would have to hike rates sharply to defend the dollar. Those fears were triggered by Germany raising rates at a time when the G6 had recently agreed to stabilise the US dollar at the February 1987 Louvre Accord, after two years of sanctioned dollar weakness. Investors got into a tizzy about recession, jumping many steps ahead of the game. But, in the wake of a run-up in US bond yields that year, equities were richly priced and so very vulnerable to recession fears, however unfounded. And then the machines took over. That couldn?t possibly happen again, or could it?

Therein lies one of the key lessons I learnt in my 30 years in the markets. It is not just to try to predict what will happen, but to second-guess what the markets fear might happen. Indeed a recession did not ensue and the 1987 crash turned into a tremendous buying opportunity.
