No point for garment to raise levy.
Garment should set rule :
Those who earn less than $100 K per annum and bank account less thaa cash $100K. not permitted to enter.
Those who borrowed from loan shark, not permitted to enter. Garment will have to get loan sharks to provide the name lists of singaporeans who borrowed money from them
FearValueGreed ( Date: 09-Nov-2010 10:58) Posted:
Looks like two things will make Genting tumble
1) never earn enough to keep speculators high
2) Garmen step in to say levy hoot up to $500 for each visit and $10000 for annual fees.
Then confirm lau side.
But then this should occur after results over, part of RWS nice packaging as usual |

Never say never. What if they want to shake the market?

Its too late for the Feds to say there will be no QE2.
World-wide markets will react violently to this news and they know it.
And what will happen to their mid-term elections? The voters on the streets, and the 9.8% who are unemployed?
What can happen is that the QE2 may be smaller than expected.
So just watch out for that. |

China Should Buy Gold, Oil to Avoid Dollar Losses, China Business ReportsBy Bloomberg News - Nov 1, 2010 12:46 PM GMT+0800China should purchase gold and oil overseas with its foreign-exchange reserves to avoid losses from a weakening dollar, according to a newspaper commentary by Shao Fenggao, an official at China Construction Bank Corp. The Dollar Index has slumped as the Federal Reserve may announce a second-round of quantitative easing this week, according to the commentary published in the China Business News today. No information was given on Shao’s role within the world’s second-largest lender by market value. China’s foreign-exchange reserves, the world’s largest, surged by a record to $2.65 trillion at the end of September, according to an Oct. 13 statement from the People’s Bank of China. Meng Qingfa, a researcher at the China Chamber of International Commerce, wrote last week in the International Business Daily that China should increase its gold holdings. The large amount of foreign-exchange reserves meant that China needed to make contingency plans for an inevitable further depreciation of the dollar, Shao wrote in the commentary, which ran on the newspaper’s opinion pages. China should buy more strategic resources such as gold and oil overseas instead of acquiring only financial assets, he wrote. Spot gold has surged 24 percent this year and traded at a record $1,387.35 an ounce on Oct. 14, according to Bloomberg data. Oil futures in New York have gained 3.1 percent this year, and traded at $81.82 a barrel at 12:07 p.m. in Shanghai. The Dollar Index, which gauges the U.S. currency’s value against a basket of six counterparts, fell for a third day.

This means that :
Developers HOLDING freehold land title deed, and those who purchased the condo units, holding a 99 years or 103 years!!!!
Fair or not?? How could this happen?
niuyear ( Date: 28-Oct-2010 12:06) Posted:
Re : Singapore land developers
See below extract - any comments??
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
FH land becomes Leasehold 99 years land
In another scenario, the property developer opt to maintain the size of the unit, but converts the Free hold land to a 99 years leasehold land. The developer owns the Free Hold land title. This could lead to the gradual disappearance of the Free Hold land titles available to the public.
Overtime, if the law permits, developers could even sell properties on 70 years lease, 50 years and lesser.

Johor eyes honeymooners
JOHOR BARU
Chief Minister Abdul Ghani Othman said that the state’s attractive locations could draw couples wanting to hold their weddings or honeymoons there,
“We need to learn from Bali, Hawaii and Singapore on how to attract these couples and honeymooners to come here,” he said, according to a speech read out at the launch of the Wedding and Beauty Fair in Johor Baru.
Mr Abdul Ghani also said that couples could hold “green” weddings at Johor’s parks and gardens,
He also called for good marketing strategies to lure tourists and suggested that Tourism Malaysia could promote Johor as a wedding destination.
Meanwhile, industry sources have told
International consulting firms will be appointed to study and evaluate various proposals for the rail system, the sources
said.
The high-speed rail system, which uses magnetic levitation technology, would boast trains which can reach speeds of up to 350kmh in two minutes.
The project is part of the Economic Transformation Programme that was announced by Prime Minister Najib Razak last month. — Johor has set its sights on becoming the next international honeymoon destination after Bali, Hawaii and Singapore, with its beaches on Desaru and the Mersing islands as its biggest draw.Bernama news agency reported.Bernama reported. The Star newspaper that a proposal for a high-speed train from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore will soon be submitted to the government. |
