According to the prospectus, (five) including Norway's govt pension fund, U.K.-based Newton Investment Management, Morgan Stanley Investment Mgt Co, and Great Eastern Life Assurance.

The five have agreed to take up to S$226 million in units, or nearly 45% of the total. Cornerstone investors generally agree to hold on to shares for a specified period as an expression of confidence in the company.

Just for sharing / refreshing on what ipo mean for....hope it help those who wanted to find some answer to question that always appear when new ipo is on offering. Nowaday very complicate one (not so simply), as whau U said, Do more homework liao, not all stay above water.

Good idea to have an IPO thread.

A reminder to IPO prospective stags, and IPO applicants include not to forget that when there is an IPO, don't just scramble to get in. Always remember there are alot of people who will offload the moment the stock is listed thereby causing the price to fall below the IPO offer price. Why is it so? Well, IPO are previously private companies who have their friends, relatives and business connections. These are preferred people and they are given shares sometimes before a listing several months or years back wwhen there was an intention to get listed. Their prices are way below cheap cheap. So when their shares are listed, no dumber person will not want to cash in. Also some freeloaders must be included as sellers. Freeloaders are people who are connected with a listing and might receive shares in lieu of payment for a fee. Remember we are in a cash society and there are many people who knows how to make money. So cheers and good luck if you are looking for stagging in an IPO listed here. Again good luck.

Friday - Homegrown kitchen equipment supplier launched an initial public offering (IPO) for a listing on Catalist. S'pore Exchange's second board.

Singapore Kitchen Equipment (SKE), which sells its products under the trade name Q'son Kitchen Equipment, is aiming to raise net proceeds of $3.275mil.

SKE is offering 23mil shares @20cts each, comprising 2.25mil public offer shares and 20.75mil placement shares.

The net proceeds will go towards growing the company's regional presence, acquiring fabrication equipment and machinery, and general working capital.

See Myanmar (old name Burma) changed rule overnight. I am bullish on Thailand for it frenly business environment n investment...w/o all proper and complete rules lay out. One may get hit not knowing...since Myanmar is not ready...very dark one n powerful.
