Start-up costs at the new Promar yard have also crept up, likely due to higher subcontracting costs for vessels LPG1 and LPG2. If the situation persists, it is possible that the other 6 LPG vessels in its order-book could also be negatively affected.
For one,we know that the result will not be good.The trouble is how bad is bad?

This stock drop about 40% from mid Dec 2012 of 1.47. The Company is still profitable. Recent price drop is over-reacted !

Today short sales for this counter is 1.7M shares , representing 9.6% of today total transaction (17.7M).
Hence price are driven down by the panic sellers !!?

At the end of the first quarter of 2013, the order book value amounted to NOK 15.5 billion, up from NOK 15.1 billion at the end of the fourth quarter of 2012. The order reserve comprised 46 vessels yet to be delivered, and the aggregate order value was NOK 24.6 billion. Order intake for the first quarter 2013 was NOK 2.8 billion, up from NOK 1.3 billion in the fourth quarter 2012. More than replenishing the order book during the quarter, the solid new order intake was driven by demand for high-end subsea construction vessels.
In Brazil, the new shipyard under construction, Vard Promar, is on track to start operations by end June 2013, with more than 85% of shipyard construction – and more than 95% of areas vital for commencing operations – complete, and recruiting and training currently in progress.

| Bros, I tried to do that too but can't. Let's say now the price is 0.19 and I open the window to key in the inforation first. If the price move I think 5 pips either way away from 0.19 and I keyed in price and sell, it will be rejected. I have to re-open the window again and key in. My broker said this is a form of safety measure in case we keyed in the wrong price. He said can do away with this but it is very risky. So I just leave it because sometimes I also key in wrong price. |
