As per my postings below, it is probably testing 0.84 (25ema), presents (imo, not a call to buy) good buying opportunity, but set your stop-loss (personally I set and exit if it closes 2 days continuous below the 25ema to avoid fake breakdown) and wait for the next buy opportunity. Dyodd n BOSAYOR.

Hi raymondho,

OIC, anyway, I dun follow 15 mins chart.

Experiment with all the various indicators n use wat works for u, but persoanlly as I had mentioned, from my reading of many TA books and confirmed by my observation, all those indicators are lagging, only used to confirm the leading indicators, ie 1st priority still the leading indicators, not the other way round.

Hi! Richtan,

No, I use Lim n Tan's life chart (Chartnexus version), the range from 1 min to monthly. it's free and is up to time.

Normally, less than 30 mins the info may not accurate, so  I always use 30 min, hourly, and daily+ to judge.

I learnt up the CCI very recent, and found that it gives me good indication to forecast up and down. In the past, I always

use DMI, MACD, Stochastic, RSI, MFI. anyway, may not right as market is not on our hand.

I like your analyses and posting very much, hope to see more of it.

Hi raymondho,

Read my reply to risktaker, whereby I mentioned n shared your view, tat I do not rule out the possibility of pullback to the 25ema at around 0.84, following STI"S correction.

Btw, just curious, are u using the paid version, as I dun see any 15 mins feature in the free version which is good enuf for me as it works for me.

But in any case, I dun follow 15 mins chart as I only follow the EOD chart to decide the next day action, though it is good to have to take a look, no harm done but ultimately, my trading decision is based on EOD chart.

Yup, I called chartNexus, confirmed 15 mins chart feature is available only for the paid version.

Anyway, it is ok for me, I dun follow 15 mins chart  which is more for intraday traders.

Hi! Fartist,

On the chart's right up corner, you will  see daily, then click on it, it shows daily, daily+ (that means up to today movement), weekly, weekly+,  hourly, and 30 mins, click wat you want.

Now price dip to 0.86 the 15 days M support and go fuarather to 0.855, so, keep an eye on it, if it slips to 25MA 0.84, I think is the best time to enter. Anyway, for today's trade, I will take CCI as a guide, if it down to -100 chances to rebound is very high. Only for sharing, as Iam learning TA's  indicators.

I do not rule out the possibility of pullback to the 25ema at around 0.84, following STI's correction (see my STI chart posting), but tat does not negate the uptrend.

ya its a good buy but its unlikely to cross 0.85 or touch 0.85. given its strong FA and outlook. Shorters will covered, before they are caught naked :)

My TA chart is posted to share n exchange pointers with those TA practitioner whom believes in TA.

If u are a TA detractor, plse just ignore n refrain from peeping at my chart posting n start

making unconstructive comments and plse do not be so childish or lunatic as to abuse the

rating system by rating it as "bad post", accumulating for yourself and your

next generation, "bad" karma for your "bad" deeds.

If u think it is a bad post, then be constructive and kindly post your TA for sharing.

This is only my view n I may be right or wrong, so dyodd and SOBAYOR.

Just ignore all this short-term noise and distractions, we should be thankful to them as they enable us to buy at a lower price instead of chasing after prices, when they push down, we buy from them.

(good FA, only need to time entry n exit based on TA).

As I always say:

"Plan your trade and trade your plan", be mechanical, not emotional n dun be affected by all these BBs.

From Kim Eng:

Midas – 1H09 Results (James KOH, DID: 64321432)

Previous Day Closing price: $0.875

Recommendation: BUY (maintained)

Target price: $0.985 (maintained)

Robust 2Q09 results

Midas posted revenue of $37.8m and net profit attributable of $9.4m for 2Q09.

Net profit attributable grew by 10% on a yoy basis and 11% on a qoq basis.

This strong quarter means that 1H09 net profit of $17.9m already forms 48% of our FY09 forecasts.

The Group also maintained its quarterly cash dividend of 0.25cents per share.

2H09 to see contribution from NPRT. The net profit in 1H09 was achieved without any contribution
from its 31.5%-owned metro manufacturing associate Nanjing Puzhen Rail Transport (NPRT).

This is due to the delivery schedule of its S$1b order book where FY09 delivery will come in the
2nd half of the year.

We estimate Midas’s profit share to be approximately $6.4m in FY09.

Downstream fabrication to start operation in 2H09.

Downstream fabrication will begin operations as scheduled in the 2H09.

However we do not expect this to be meaningful to overall profit for FY09.

Management has already scheduled an order book of about $20m for this new business

and we expect contracts momentum to increase when Midas starts to show results for its clients.

4th and 5th production line now a reality. The share placement proceeds of $90.6m in July will be
mainly used to fund these. With an estimated installation time of 6 months each, we expect the 4th
and 5th line to start operations in 4Q10 and 1Q11 respectively.

With its capacity constraint alleviated, we expect Midas to compete strongly for the

next round of orders which could come in 4Q09.

Target price remains unchanged. We have upgraded our FY09 earnings estimate by 6%.

We are unconcerned about the decrease in revenue as that only reflects the lower aluminum prices

and is inconsequential to Midas’s profitability.

Our target price of $0.985 which is pegged to 18X FY10 earningsremains unchanged.

Midas looks like a middle-aged man, still strong and steady, climbing up a flight of stairs, occassionally trip n fall a few steps but stand up unrelentlessly and continue his/her upward climb.

From DBSV:

Mida’s 2Q09 earnings of S$9.4m (+10% yoy and +11% qoq) were in line with market and our expectations.

Maintain BUY, TP S$1.10, based on 20x FY10 earnings.

Prospects for Midas are bright given its strong order book of RMB1.5bn for its core business and >RMB4bn

for its associate NPRT
