Guangzhou Shipyard International is currently trading at around 45x forward earnings. (mainland's 8th-largest shipbuilder). It is currently the only listed Chinese company in that industry. Beijing has stated its ambition to make China the largest shipbuilder in the world within 2 years.

China is the world's 3rd-biggest builder of ships, behind South Korea and Japan.



 



 

South Korea's Daewoo Shipbuilding trades at 14x estimated 2007 earnings.



 



 

 COSCO traded at $2.82 on S?pore bourses, that about 30x it PE Ratio..

This one, those BBs and owner should declare or show their interest, if it px at lower end, should be okk. If it at upper end offer, then even if it over subscribe 3-5x or more, d margin profit will not be that great on opening, just stay above water and enuf maybe to cover one trading commission plus a very small amount in kopi $$$.

Just sharing my tot, so far BBs hav't not...no such good news yet.

Of different status, FSLT got less then 10,000 retail ppl's applied for..., oni for world wide mkt another one which will perform as good as expected, like ths 1st ship trust., will expect to stay close to it ipo px jus above water
