Did your son  invite her daughter to sit on your son's lap also?    LOL!!!!

knightrider      ( Date: 10-Mar-2011 12:57) Posted:

Na bei, this european lady, pretty or not, got wear low cut , like MU soccer season,   let off 1/2 (bua liet) ball, or wear sexy mini-skirt. Kan li nia, if she dare to ask me for a seat, I will invite her to sit on my laps with my thumbs up salute at her ass. At least gives some reason, feel giddy or want to vomit or what good grandfather cock or bull story.

We should gives up seats for pregnant, toddlers, old and even at times when some one did really ask for a seat and mentioned she is giddy, unless we are dam tired and say sorry I am so tired to let you have this seat, sori, could you please  approached  someone.

Just like there is an  occasion, when I am at the Sentosa Universal Studio, the 4D Shrek movies hall, this lady (pretty tai tai, wear low cut, young and sexy around late 20s, carry an expensive LV bag, with her daughter), while sitting down before the show start, she came late, and left with one seat, she come to me, which I am sitting next to her daughter, she don't even say " please" , then she says " Can I stand up and she needs my seat" , I stare at her, and explain to her my son is sitting next to me, there is no other seats in this row, she start to say some nonsense, what Singapore man is not gentleman or whatsoever, that really piss me. I shouted at her, " Pardon me" , you can sit on my laps and I will provide some shaking like free massage chair, the rest of the rows of people - some indians and some Ang Mo, all laugh. She  quickly  grab her daughter hands and run out ! So you see some people are brainless, and dare to ask and she think it is their right. I pay the same S$66 ticket, I queue and I come in early. There is only one seat left, you daughter sit down, and you stand, that is normal behaviour and logical. Asking me to give up my sit for you, are you my anyone, maybe she thinks she always " hisao hsiao" and always got her right. Come on by passing a statement " Singapore man is not gentleman" . I wonder her parent got teach her any manners " bu ka si" .

Cultural differences or a bully at act! - 01-03-2011, 07:15 AM

21 feb 2011
Train to cityhall @9 am
As usual my 3 year old niece took a train with my sister( her mother) and myself ( her aunite) to her school in raffles place. She approached a lady seated at the priority seat for a seat. The lady happened to be a European lady which very pregnant. The european lady was apparently very affected by this innocence request and started to comment that this request is not acceptable. When a kind lady seated beside the European lady offered her seat to my niece, she told the kind lady that she should not have offer the seat to the child. She added on by asking the kind lady her age and went on to say that how can a 40 year old woman give up a seat to a child. A child needs to learn and lady should not give up the seat as people will take advantage of them.
Felt unjust I went forward to confront her on what is the issue of letting a child to seat in a moving train. She went on to say the same thing mentioned earlier which simply does not sound logical to me.
The people in the train start whispering and telling my sister to ignore this european lady. Some mentioned that it is a culture differences. When the European lady got off the train at city hall, someone in the train told my sister that the European lady demanded a seat from a guy before a board the train.
Now is it cultural differences ? A bully at act? Ungracious behavior ? Or ???

Why the food prices keep increasing?

If everyone of us do some part ,  this could reduce the food shortage erconomically -

1)  Do not eat youngs of any animals,  if everyone in the world prefer young and tender meat, leaving the old and unproductinve calves living till old age without producing enough youngs to increase and continue the production cycles.

2)  Life span is longer in general.

3) global warming

Have some thoughts if US$ keep sliding but, most of us betting on US$ can go back up.

Singapore Stocks-Down at midday, SingTel defies market sentiment

Published: Wednesday, 9 Mar 2011 | 12:16 AM ET
Text Size

SINGAPORE, March 9 (Reuters) - Singapore shares were weak at midday on Wednesday as investors were rattled by the impact of higher oil prices on inflation and worries about the turmoil in the Middle East. The Singapore market had opened higher, as investors sought refuge in defensive stocks such as Singapore Telecommunications , but later turned negative due to geopolitical concerns. By the midday break, the Straits Times Index (STI) was down 0.36 percent, or 11.15 points, at 3,092.69. The total value of shares traded in the morning session was S$698.6 million, slightly higher than S$623.1 million on Tuesday. Local traders said the STI may be range-bound between 3,080 and 3,120 points in the afternoon. " There seems to be some flow to the defensive investments whenever volatility gets too high and there are really not many places to hide," said Roger Tan, head of research at SIAS Research, adding that stocks that pay relatively high dividends may provide some safety for investors. SingTel shares, which rose as much as 1 percent, saw some profit-taking.

The  REAL  gem  is scary  -----------See below::

China warns HIV/AIDS highly prevalent in some areas

China warns HIV/AIDS highly prevalent in some areas AFP/File  –  Volunteers from Red Cross China take part in an AIDS-awareness event to mark World AIDS Day in Beijing.  …

BEIJING (AFP) – China warned Wednesday of the high prevalence of HIV/AIDS in some areas, saying the situation in the country was still grim and calling for better prevention and treatment of the disease.

" The disease in some areas and population groups has become highly prevalent and many HIV carriers and patients have not yet been discovered," the State Council, China's cabinet, said in a statement.

It added the HIV virus that causes AIDS was mostly sexually transmitted in China, with rates of infection among homosexual men increasing, and called for the disease to be brought under full control by 2020.

The statement did not specify which areas of the country were particularly affected.

According to Chinese authorities, at least 740,000 people have HIV/AIDS in the country, out of a total population of 1.3 billion, although advocates for patients believe the real figure could be much higher.

Long a taboo in China, the government has now started talking more openly about HIV prevention and control.

The State Council called on local governments across the country to protect the legal rights of HIV carriers and AIDS patients.

But despite this, harassment of some independent campaigners and organisations still continues.

Tian Xi, a 24-year-old activist who has campaigned for compensation for thousands of people who contracted HIV through transfusions, was jailed for a year in central China last week.

He was accused of smashing up equipment in the hospital where he says he received transfusions of tainted blood as a child, but activists say local authorities had demanded he be detained before his arrest.

Its good to allow this to go privatised so that  we can have more competitions whereby, best quality of product  is enforced especially water resources is one of the biggest concern.

Eg. telco companies.

infancybird      ( Date: 09-Mar-2011 12:17) Posted:

Hyflux is a National Asset to Singapore, just like Singapore Arm Forces, as we are very very short of water resources and its  of great important to national security and survival. Hence to let Hyflux be privatised(ie sell to Chinese coy)  is against the national interest and extremely remote.  No way , thats my opinion

Sure there is people who buy and people who don't buy lor ! I am the later, because I kia si. Even later then buy from open market if this is a good share also can.

Remember Singtel, 1995, the bidding IPO (at that time got auction or so call bidding tender like COE, but one must bid and tender the exact price then they gives u, different from tikam tikam apply from ATM). Ken li nia, at that time, I ATM apply the tender at S$3.60 and   vo vo shooter , the target so accurate, I kana 5lots for the tender price and hold the share for many donkey years before sell off at S$4.25 in 2006 or 2007 ( hold nearly 10 yrs, in between bloody hell, they reduce from share holder and force buy back 2 times at S$2.74 or lower). After S$4.25, did Singtel ever go back to this price, I think from my memory, none at all. So for such big volumes of paper, so what, just because it is Li Ka Chen (back side in hokkien). Please don't be suckers, they just print paper and we throw $$. LOL.
