Hi, morning Jessie, just FYI,

Like any other penny stocks, for more info refer to STi to...

STI to cross 3000 boosted by long-term investors

It hit (S31-money page) Straits Times Saturday Sept 29, 2007 this morning.

1st) Frenzy buying hit SGX on China listed stocks
2nd) Penny stocks, China plays hog trading as 3rd Q closes (Windows dress up)
3rd) China plays surge on talk of Beijing easing fund rules

1st) Due to a US investment bank Merrill Lynch report on a China fund that allowed to buy overseas-listed shares of firms which get at least 50% of their revenues in China and PrimePartners China index reached 280.05 points, a gain of 6.4%.

Thus reason for nos-2nd) and 3rd) penny stocks a ride up.....ChinaEsave finish on a strong note, so is some other stocks.

Home work 1st. Invest some at your own risk & not an inducement to speculate.

STI to test STI - 4000......??. The possiblilities is within reach over next two to three mths, along the way, expecting a volatile trading with a drop like 100 points is also possible. The climb is quite steep and fast in itself just B4 and after Sept07 attracting speculative players big and small.

Reminded me of Temasek venture into Shin Corp, was wondering who is who's going to get the receiving end, this story is yet to be unfold, expecting to seeing someone important exit gracefully on a later date.....and someone =ly important come in to oversee who who's, sort of new look, new confident, new challenge.

Think SIA, ST or even PSA is great..as it is definite a plus to have him on board, such company is going  to compete with company international MNC.

Reminded me of KBH as Chairman of DBS and now overseeing CEO job. This post of....i think is too small for such talented man like Mr Lee Hsien Yang as a former President of SingTel. (The biggest cap listed in SES)

After all having experienced 20 long years at JP. This is what to be expected from him for giving DBS this kind of reported card, must be very comfortable to sit at the top w/o much supervsion. The Temasek board of Dir must be quite disappointed. Wishes him best of luck and with much regards.

Quote"

Last month DBS surprised investors by saying its exposure to risky collateralised debt obligations was nearly double what it had initially declared.

The revelation pushed its shares into a loss for the year, while shares of domestic peers Oversea-China Banking Corp and United Overseas Bank have rallied 15 percent and 12 percent amid a booming Singapore economy.

Note here: Tai, who worked for JPMorgan as an investment banker for more than two decades, explored acquisitions in China and South Korea.

In 2001 DBS acquired Hong Kong's Dao Heng Bank. Tai, who was president at that time, said the purchase was an important step toward building DBS into an "Asian powerhouse."

But in early 2006, DBS announced it would book a charge of S$1.13 billion in the fourth quarter of 2005 to write off some of the goodwill it paid to acquire Dao Heng, which pushed its fourth-quarter profit into the red, its full-year profit down 15 percent and hit its shares.
