Bernanke spooks Wall Street. DOW start on a shaking note. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.3%. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index slipped 0.2%, and the Nasdaq composite index dropped 0.1%.

Stocks head lower as Fed chief's concerned outlook on economy offsets a better-than-expected employment report.

ST paper (Sun) page 29- invest (Wall Street).
DOW                 86.06        -0.70%           12,216.40
NASDAQ      19.65              -0.86%          2,261.18
S&P 500         10.54           -0.80%      1,315.22
Stocks dip on concern over poor retail sales by JC Penny, it shares fell 7.5 cents. Other news including analyst warmed of more divided cuts and forecasr a further 25% drop in banking shares. And last but not least....

Overseas, shareholders of Swiss bank UBS (which Temasek has a stake) were gearing up for a possible vote on another capital injection (from whom this time asking for more $$$)?. Markets see it as likely that the bank may need to take further credit write-downs.

News from Reuters.
