AusGroup Limited subsidiary AGC Industries Pty Ltd (‘AGC’) a leading Australian based fabrication, construction and integrated services company to the oil and gas and resources sectors, is pleased to announce they have been awarded a three year plus three month extension on their calciner overhaul and maintenance contract with Alcoa of Australia Limited (Alcoa). The estimated value of this extension is AU$36 million over the period. The highly specialised work will be conducted for Alcoa’s Western Australian calciners located at Kwinana, Pinjarra and Wagerup refineries. The initial scope of work covers calciner overhaul maintenance services including refractory, access, and mechanical trade work as well as general calciner repair work. Originally providing niche refractory services to Alcoa since 2007, AGC has proven safe and efficient delivery, enabling them to secure ongoing works with Alcoa. Laurie Barlow, CEO and Managing Director said " We are pleased to have the opportunity to continue our long term relationship with Alcoa, providing them with our expertise in the area of calciner overhaul and maintenance. AGC has over a decade of experience in the provision of refractory services. SGX/MEDIA RELEASE For Immediate Release Company Registration Number 200413014R 36 Tuas Road, Singapore 638505 Page 1 of 2 Singapore and Australia 28 JUNE 2013 AusGroup contract extended on the Gorgon Project AusGroup Limited subsidiary AGC Industries Pty Ltd (" AGC" ), a leading Australian based construction and fabrication company, has been awarded further fabrication work with CB& I and Kentz Joint Venture (CKJV) on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project. The contract extension for the manufacture and supply of Shear Keys to the Gorgon Project brings the total amount to more than 3,000. Shear keys are important components for modular construction and are being used to secure the LNG plant modules on Barrow Island. The manufacture of the Shear Keys will be undertaken at AGC’s fabrication facility in Kwinana, before being transported to the Australian Marine Complex for shipment to Barrow Island. This contract extension takes AGC’s total contracts value on the Gorgon Project to more than AU$110 million. Overall, the contracts have created more than 280 local jobs. Laurie Barlow, AusGroup’s CEO and Managing Director, said: " The extension of this contract further supports AGC’s local fabrication capability in Western Australia and our ability to offer clients timely delivery on high quality components." It is operated by an Australian subsidiary of Chevron and is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (47.3 percent), with the Australian subsidiaries of ExxonMobil (25 percent), Shell (25 percent), Osaka Gas (1.25 percent), Tokyo Gas (1 percent) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 percent). With this contract award, AusGroup’s order book now stands at AU$230 million. | ||

Midas’ 32.5% owned associate company NPRT has secured a Rmb1.26bln contract from Shenzhen Metro Group for the supply of 33 train sets (198 train cars) for Shenzhen Metro Line 3 project. Delivery is expected from 2015-2016. This would be NPRT’s 5th contract win this year and also its largest. The latest contract win will increase its year to date contract win by 50% to Rmb3.76bln and order books by 14% to Rmb9.98bln. | ||
