Thanks Sir. I missed 12.16 this morning. I am waiting another chances. Poems said that 12.00 is support. If break, down to 10.0

Maybe can range trade between  $12 and  and $12.5 for 3% margin under this enviornment ...  You can compare the stupid report from CIMB in 1 mth time, if it is from the same person then that person need to be grilled for the quick change in his analysis :)

CIMB reports in 1 mth :

21st Sep : CIMB downgrades DBS Group (D05.SG) to Underperform from Outperform, after cutting its FY11-13 earnings estimates by about 7%, mainly due to lower non-interest income and higher credit costs. The house lowers its target price to S$11.90 from S$16.56, now based on 1.0X CY11 P/B. " We are wary of the new credit cycle and DBS's exposure to China's export sector. We also reckon that DBS has the most room for topline slippages, as capital-market activities slow and interest rates stay low, providing de-rating catalysts." UOB (U11.SG) is now CIMB's top pick in the sector

16th Aug : DBS remains our top pick amongst the banking stocks. In addition to the expected growth from its India operations, DBS is reaping the gains from its Hong Kong/China presence. In particular, we like it for its attractive valuations.

Any comments abt DBS?

Salute      ( Date: 14-Sep-2011 18:26) Posted:

is it a true industry faulty in such case.

this afternoon, when the last dealt price for DBS was 12.07. suddenly the buy Q at 12.03 then 12.01 very quickily but the Q for sell is 12.04/12.03 and no trade dealt and when things became normal, I saw the low price was 12.01. follow up speedy straightline increase to 12.40.

someone is manipulating this counter all the while, but how could it be coincided with the fell to the lowest in such confusion in the PCs. (it's not only one broker firm but it's said to be industrial faulty)and bounced back immediately. didn't pay attention to other counter but only DBS, was other counters affected, did you notice it?

no idea bro.. maybe $3? it was $2.80 in mid '09 before all this cooling measure nonsense started. really depends how quickly ppl see the value in this stock and are convinced that the cooling measures don't have much impact on the profits. And all will start buying again and we the "pioneers" will be laughing our way to the bank.

shoemaker      ( Date: 27-Jan-2011 14:49) Posted:

Personally I think $1.60 is an amazingly low price considering that it is WAY BELOW its NAV and it's historical PE. Everybody seems to be very bearish with this counter with all the government cooling measures going on. Other property players in China are also suffering the same fate... Vanke, Shimao, you name it. I think this counter is certainly WAY OVERSOLD judging from the price dip after news that the cooling measures had little effect on the china property market, and then dipped further when fresh measures are unveiled.

In my opinion its CEO Zhong Sheng Jian is a visionary and highly competent leader - he has just been awarded the Businessman of the Year under Singapore Business Awards 2010, and he is one of the few billionaires in Singapore and China but prefers to keep a low profile.

If you are a firm believer of contrarian investing, it makes every sense to collect bit by bit during a bear trend, because sooner or later, the market will realise that it has been oversold and rebound to even greater heights. Why I am confident of this happening is because Yanlord is a very well-managed company with strong fundamentals, has an excellent branding in China. Yanlord is described to be synonymous with high-class, luxury residential living in China. Furthermore, the luxury residential market is one that has relatively little competition given its high barrier of entry, meaning that it would have a higher profit margin.

These are qualities that Warren Buffett look out for in a company that he wants to buy.

And of course, the fact that Chinese are becoming increasingly wealthy means that cooling measures will likely have a temporary but not permanent effect on the stock. Just like in Hong Kong, property prices are the highest in the world but many are still willing to pay the high price for a piece of real estate there. Major cities in China will inevitably follow that trend as they become increasingly globalised.

OK, enough of bullshit from me. Bottomline is I am absolutely bullish on this stock and I am thinking of buying more when it dips lower. If your faith in this counter is wavering, feel free to post your views so we can all discuss openly based on facts. If you have any alternative views, I'm more than happy to hear them. Cheers!

No impact. It's just that there will be about 0.015% more shares than before. This gem is a laggard.. should be a good time to start accumulating. May take some time though before the market looks past the cooling measures and when it does, this baby will fly... Vested.

must see tomorrow transaction first... as for now is not advice to buy...hold still okay

i just sold 3.84 (bought this morning 3.75) then...still can go up...is this call greedy? just careful when profit taking in place...

for STI as for now breadth market start to sign a reversal, plus DOW future in red, so it will have contagion effect.

remember...market always can kill u when u r ignorance, got profit then caw...u dont know whether big transaction is really they buy and accumulate or they throwing to you...

Good example noble, i think...it seems weakness from buyer...i predict it will pullback soon

so you would suggest that there will be a sell down soon and the level that we should look at is 3.75?

Hi

Most people who cannot make an income from trading is due to day trading using wrong tools.

As you can see, I don't put up mins or hourly charts because I prefer swing trading to capture

the future swing. When I buy a stock, I expect to hold up to 3 mths and generating somewhere

from 30% above. I had traded full time in the past will Nextview Professional SW, it was hell

of a good experiences but I quited due to the stress involved. I would only  trade the morning

spike, say from 9:30am - 11am and walked away for the rest of the day with profits/loss.

Later, I decided to trade more relax way and hold a stock for a longer period up to 3mths,

less stress and more income instead.

Don't be affected by the daily movement in stock, too much noises. Just monitor your cutloss

closely and stay by the side watching. You will enjoy trading like me everyday since 2001.

Cheers

Hi Lowchia,

Thanks for your warning. I even just to vest at 8.55.  Now wait and see. Of course this is my decision. Thanks again.

lowchia      ( Date: 06-Dec-2010 22:04) Posted:

On Monday, SGX broke the support at $8.60 and closed at $8.57 with regular volume of 4.07 million shares traded.

Three black candles occurred in the last three days.  Although these candles were not big enough to create three black crows, the steady downward pattern is bearish.

Both RSI & MACD are bearish as RSI trend downwards.

Important Resistance of SGX: $8.60

Immediate Support of SGX: $8.33

Currently prices are support by 100 days MA at $8.33.

Today there has been news of merger with ADX again and this actually create fears into investors as they began to sell off their stocks.

We would like to warn investors that if this merger were to go through, it would trigger a massive selling down again.

SEE ANALYSIS FOR DBS

Although $8.33 is expected to be a very strong support, do consider outcome ahead even if you are fairly interested in this company.
